Great mod.

I do have one or two small issues though.

For starters: the audio in the beginning cuts out then picks up at the wrong time (which is no big deal, but i wanted to know if it's fixable)

also, I have noticed that the music loop is a little bit off.

And is there any way i can make this mod run more smoothly? My computer is great on memory but it lacks CPU in a very big way to the point where the battle swirl takes about 2X longer (among other things)

That's pretty much it for the moment.
I don't know what you mean about the audio in the beginning, I do know that if you use GyptInstant to skip the opening FMV, then the music won't queue properly until after the first battle. This is a known issue and is included in the bug report file

As for the music loop, that's also a known issue, since I don't know where the settings for that are stored. the very first line of the very first post contains a link to a tutorial on how to fix it, it's pretty trivial.

As for making it run more smoothly, you could try turning off the battle swirl framelimiter in the OpenGL config settings...it might just be that you're not used to it... if that isn't it, then turning off shaders, lowering the resolution, making sure you're not using any postprocessing, etc... could all be ways to make the game run more smoothly.

Titeguy, changing language (Change files Flevel, Kernel ....) not lose anything? For example, how to raise HP or MP ...

Greetings.

Edit: When I start the game I get this:

I give to accept and work, but it works very slow.

First time poster, just wanna say comp. mod is greatly appreciated (Just came back from a few year break from ff7, was a little tired of manually installing seperate mods) I have however run into some issues with ff7music recently.  Couple weeks ago music just stopped playing completely, I have no idea why.  Everything worked great up till I got to coral.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling ff7 as well as the remix patch multiple times (also cleaned registry)... Keep getting this

i'm not to sure if this is the right place to post this but with slayersnext's mod i have problems with the crystal sword where piece of it is missing even though i followed the instrucions exactly( without this awesome patch installed by the way) is there anyway to fix this? it was brought in the original thread but no one answered ...

Yeah it's a common issue with slayersnext's crystal sword and his ultima weapon...the tranparency of the parts goes to 100% instead of 50% like it should be. Open it up with Kimera, double click the model, and set the blade part to 50% transparency to fix it.

Thanks a lot friend. +5 Exp(fanfare starts to play).

EDIt:
One more question. just where the hell do i find transparency controls in kimera ?i only see some reposition, resize controls when i dbl click the weapon.

Click on "Group 0" and goto group properties. In Kimera v0.9a, here you could choose the opacity of the group, but there are a bunch of different blending methods in the latest one, v0.9.5b, try "Average" and see if that fixes it.

okay... no luck, but let me just make sure i'm doing it right, i use pcreator to open the cloud models and i select the weapon from the drop down box on the lower left, i double click the weapon, select group 0, click group properties, click average and press apply after which i press apply changes and then i close p creator, sooo did i get that right? ???

Errr....not PCreator, Kimera. You double click the model, then click Group 0, then click Group Properties.

I'm sorry, i meant kimera(my mind can wander pretty far sometimes), soo did i do everything correctly?

EDIT
Ok, problem solved, just had to set the blending mode to additive and , belive it or not, i kept forgetting to save the model. Thanks for all your help, greatly appreciated

I apologise if this was an issue that was already addressed, but I don't have much time atm to check:

I was giving the game a test run (since using this awesome patch) and I was up to where you fight Gi Nattaki (the cosmo canyon boss).

after I killed him and went through the results screen, i was greeting with an "oops, an error has occured and ff7 needs to close"

..."awesome" i thought. So i did it again to see if it was a gaurenteed error. It wasn't, and the game continued as normal.

also, i noticed that the holy spell somehow managed to lose the little white spikey prism-like thing in the floating blue orb.
(extremely minor issue, but i was wondering if i did this to it somehow by accident)

that's all that comes to mind at the moment. My main concern is the error log, could you tell me how to get the right file to post so that i can show it to you?

That's really uncommon to get that error *after* the results screen. Usually it happens either during a battle as a result of a poorly programmed AI or at the start of battle as the result of a broken Scene Look-up table in kernel.bin. I can't tell you why it happened or how to fix it. If it happens again, check your APP.log to see if there are any graphical errors causing it, since usually if a crash isn't easily reproduced it's caused by the graphics card in some way.

As for the Holy animation, that's either due to an OpenGL incompatibility or the Team Avalanche Overhaul...not sure which, it's best not to worry about it for now...

Me again =[)

I noticed the "make your music loop run more smoothly" and followed the instructions.

problem is, after I did this FF7 goes to a black screen and does nothing. I then changed it back, and it continued to do this even after the settings were reset to what they were before

Because of this i'm pretty sure that it wasn't the instructions, but something else.

It'll show everything as working in the task manager, but where it says DEFAULT there it claims that it isn't responding

EDIT: I also want to apologise for the constant "help me"'s

Well I don't see how changing your system's wave output buffer settings can possibly do anything to FFVII...
I can probably tell you why FF7 is hanging if you post your APP.log (if the game is even generating one...it might not be, since it isn't actually starting), and copy paste whatever it says in the FF7Music console that appears when you alt+tab. It's odd for FF7 to just hang, usually there's an error message or something...

Well let me clarify on what it does (this will be followed with 2 questions)

Once i click to run ff7, the screen goes black as usual before the screen runs the fmv before the title screen.

instead of the intro fmv playing however, it just hangs there. If i go to the task manager, i will notice that my resolution has actually decreased making my icons and backround bigger and blockier.

normally it temporarily increases my resolution and makes the icons and backround smaller and much better.

and in the task manager applications tab it will read that everything is working properly, except for "default" which is "not responding"....ff7music is fine, as is ff7 (in the command prompt form).

now for the question: how do i get/find the app log that tells you what happened when i last played?

and the follow up question: what would make "default" unresponsive?

"DEFAULT" is ff7.exe, so anything could make it unresponsive. Sometimes an error message will pop up under the screen and that can do the trick. Usually when windows says that something "is not responding" it means that the execution is either caught in an infinite loop, or doing something that's taking a long time and causing it to not take any input at the moment.

APP.log should be right there in your Final Fantasy VII folder, but it might just show the debug info from the last time it started up. Most likely if it's more than 1kb, FF7 didn't make one. What would probably be more helpful is the debug info in FF7Music's console window. It's pretty much the same information.
