I had the Force Stealer equipped on Cloud, I forget which one I had on Aeris, and the Boomerang for Yuffie.
Ok i just checked and Force Stealer gives an error but didn't crash the game for me, try applying my patch and then maybe Millenia's custom models for cloud swords and see if you still get the crash.
Also if you could upload your save game i may be able to help more.

Already had Millenia's custom models.

I'm gonna give 7.6b a try.

EDIT: Ehh, I'll just wait for 7.8 and see if it works then. :P

thats odd, if you have Millenia's custom models for cloud you shouldn't get the error
GLITCH: broken p file: vertextype == VERTEX in CLOUD.W07
with force stealer, did you install Millenia's custom models before the 2.5.1 patch ?

I guess you can just wait for 0.7.8, 0.7.7 has quite a few bugs which will hopefully be fixed in the future (but the Vertex error is due to corrupt models so new version's wont stop the errors but hopefully will stop the crash).

Just thought I'd let you know, gjoerulv's hardcore patch is now at 1.0.1 which includes bug fixes unless other bugs are found I think it's the last version.

Well I think I'll only play his mod if the bugs were already fixed but happy to know people are willing to test his mod to make it better. :)

Post your crash.dmp and, if you have it, the app.log from your FF7Music folder.

All I can think about is the Battle Swirl fix which is also with Aali's driver. Nah I'm not too sure I'm just guessing because of the world "swirl" in your app.log file. And as obesebear said post your crash.dmp, it will be much easier to help that way. :)

Well i am not 100% sure but i think it may be caused by the 0.7.7 version of Aali's driver with the remix patch, try going back to 0.7.3 and it should fix the problem, let me know how you get on.

in your last post you was using 0.7.7 (well your app.log showed you was).
you can compress your crash.dmp with zip or rar or any other compressor and it will be alot smaller.
Also you may want to upload you save and a screenshot of where it crashes exactly.

even after compression it is still quite a big size file.. any suggestion on where i can host the files on??

hmm i didn't update it to 0.7.7.. wierd.. nvm i'll go download 0.7.3 and try again.. :)

well i use mediafire.com or megaupload.com or uploading files to, so i sort of recommend those.
also in your last post you appear to be using 0.7.3 but in the post before that you appeared to be using 0.7.7 (which is just weird)

when in 0.7.7 the app.log starts with
INFO: FF7/FF8 OpenGL driver version 0.7.7b
but in 0.7.3 it starts with
INFO: Auto-detected version: FF7 1.02 US English

i gave 2 app.log.. one from ff7music folder, one from my main game folder..

hmm.. not sure why are there such a difference, lol.

anyways, i'll upload it to mediafire, since i don't have a megaupload account. thanks.

How can I use the latest version of Aali's driver with this pack of modifications. Currently it crashes when it is entering the start menu selection screen.

Try dropping crash.dmp in a blank notepad. Not sure if it works though when I tried that it loads so long I get so bored I stop it.

@cyberpirate - it looks like your problem is due to missing save files, either copy your saves to fill up all slots (to copy the saves take a file like save00.ff7 and make copies of it and rename the copies to save01.ff7 save02.ff7 etc all the way to save09.ff7) or you could download a save and make copies of them to fill up slots,
this error only happens on the latest version of Aali's custom driver (0.7.7), if you use the version that comes with this remix patch (0.7.3) you shouldn't have this problem

Aww no problem, lets hope someone else does  :-[
I just had a quick look at your crash.dmp (i am not very good at it so you may want to try posting it in Aali's custom driver thread and see if Aali can help)
the crash does seem to be driver related by the looks of things

but i tried to recreate the error by loading your data from ff7 but i couldn't recreate the error when going into battle, (also there does seem to be a DLL error from your nvidia drivers so you may want to reinstall them, but i dont think this has anything to do with the crash or it could just be me reading it wrong, like i said before i am not experianced at crash dumps)
i would recommend removing ff7 completely and deleting the folder (backup your save folder though) do a fresh install and then reinstall just the remix patch (nothing else) and try again and see what happens.

I have a small problem it seems that the ff7_opengl.cfg doesn’t want to work the screen size is wrong it shows about the top left part only during the intro that plays automatically. So i try to change it and it didn’t do anything so I try to turn full screen off and it still was in full screen I try to reinstall everything inc a fresh game yet its the same the file doesn’t want to do anything.

I do not use the Remix Patch but you need to register Aali's driver to the registry first. Have you done that?? If you haven't there is also a file called ff7_opengl.reg. And remember if you run the FF7Config you'll have to register Aali's driver again.
Note:I think if you use the Remix patch you have to run Aali's driver version 0.7.3 so be sure you're running that version.

The patch has it in but I installed it anyway and it didn't work the ff7_opengl.reg file still does not do anything even when i changed it to not have full screen it sticks to full screen.

i was just wondering if maybe you could make a checklist of which patches to install on the remix patch. cause some people don't want/aren't compatible with all the patches. i hope it doesn't take too much time though =/
