Hi!

I'm sure that you would need the permission of Square if you were to use their sounds in your game. As for the AUDIO.DAT file, I'm sure that the file is quite large. A better idea would be to ask for specific sounds to be extracted to .wav for you.  :wink:

Yea i think sound effects for free games might be a different matter legaly. I've heard some COMMERCIAL games use sounds from games as old as DooM. I'm pretty sure they didn't get permission.
