I must report that archives rar of SeedReborn italian 2.04, Project Eden, Project Angelwind Italian 3.0. Rebirth Flame, Horizonpack, Battlefieldpack, all of FF8 2013 version, are all broken when I try to unpack them after the download. Maybe the  source files are broken. There's a problem with my version of WinRar 3.60?  But it's strange because other archives work properly. Please, I am an italian fan that wants play FF8 at best. If there are other download links, show me.
P.S. I have the same problem with MoguriMod for FF9.

l'm sorry but where is ver.1.2 or 1.3? The link get you to ver 1.1.

nvm , you have to use the demaster tool to get the out of the main.zzz.

l wanna use doomtrain with it but there is only main.zzz so l have to idea where to find kernel.bin to extract for modding.

l know there is a question about it just 2 topic below but there is no link in that post either. There is a link to discord but l'm lost and have no idea how to use it. l would be nice if someone still have torrent or direct link to rose and wine final version.

Callisto , can you tell me which file and offset you have to hex edit to change darkside damage and hp loss?

Can you tell me how did you modify darkside multiplier?

The damage was too epic in the original and l have been wanting to change it for a long time but l dont know how. Doomtrain program doesn't have this function as far as l know.

Wow, beautiful work!

I'm hoping someone can crack the backgrounds on the remaster soon. I like the remastered characters and the speed-up option. Except the pretty-boy Squall head. I guess he WAS supposed to be the prettiest one in the room. ;)

I'd like to see your broken screens list as well. I'm looking to mod up my original FF8 and definitely want these wonderful GUMmie backgrounds as the base with a few bits from Angel Wings as back-up while blippyp is working on them.

l just sent all folders containing the broken scenes in disk 1 to blippyp , maybe he can test if he can fix it. l ma crossing fingers.

l'll keep sending scenes as l finish each disk.

If you document which screens need to be updated, I will update them on my end as well, the issue isn't that they can't be fixed (I already figured that out afaik), it's that I (sorry to say), haven't played the game yet myself with the new images to see which screens need to be updated as well. I'm not sure why some of them got messed up, but when I rebuilt them by hand as a test, it fixed the issue. Bottom line, is that I need a list of which screens need to be updated, if I knew what they were, it would be incentive enough to fix the images I uploaded as well so that no one has to deal with this issue. Either way, glad you're enjoying it regardless. :)

File type is different. For the mod that came out , the mod uses .png the game also uses png. Not so for this mod the game does not use .png.


from what he posted l think it "completed" as in the modded resources is completed but no one can make it works in game yet. Its like in fan-translation project, you say the script for english patch is 100% translated but then you still have to hack the game to put all those 100% translated scripts in game.

I'm actually starting to worry a little bit. I sent MCindus a message on Patreon 10 days ago that he still hasn't responded to. Lines up with the lack of updates here. I'm sure it's possible he's just busy at the moment, but it does have me a little concerned.

There is no progress because no modder know how to slap these textures over the game's textures yet.

Replacing the checkered background with its counter part from angle wing is working great!!! l'm replaying this and replacing the checkered backgrounds as l go along. lol

I think l'll start playing ff 8 again with this mod and taking note of all the problematic background and see if l can replace them manually with some background from angle wings. Hopefully that will work. ;D

Is it normal for vehicles in towns to still be in low res version? Do they use different textures than the ones in the world map?

Wow this mod looks extreamly good compare to others background upgrades.

Why dont you guys combine effort and merge this mod and angle wing mod together? Replace some backgrounds with checkerboard effect with the ones in Angle wing?

Holy cow!!!?? this new update is epic!!!!!

In Doomtrain 1.1 tools , there is no option to do so for attack + darkside command. So do l have to hex edit the game manually? if so , anyone know how?

So l modded the field.fs file with Deling modding tool so that one of the gate in front of Ultimecia's Castle send me back to Balamb Town. However , after l entered the exit gate and the screen changed to the entrance of Balamb Town there is no 3d models of my characters on the screen so l cannot walk and stuck there forever.

What do l have to do to make it work? Thanks .
