Thanks for your hard work, Mcindus. So sorry if this sounds rude, but what will SeeD Reborn Remastered bring to the table that isn't present in FFVIIIr? The UI elements in FFVIIIr (Shitty font kerning aside) is the only nice thing about it, IMO.
I just want to know if we ever use story mods ever again on the ff8 remake, like hard type mods ever again
Can you port the original backgrounds?
And what if you want to use the Remaster's fonts with this instead of the ones from the mod? Is that possible?
Mcindus to the rescue! Thank you once again for all your hard work.
Are the font, icons and UI elements still *.tex files with palettes? Or are you able to import direct *.png files?
Well, I created SeeDReborn, which has full icon replacements, etc. that are much better than theirs. Even the vanilla stuff that I created (and some of that original stuff was team avalanche) and there are several fonts available, so I figured I'd offer that to the public. The funny thing about their gradient is that it's a pixel perfect match of mine. There's seriously no possible way to do this 'by accident'. Also, they didn't 'crack' the gradient, so they don't know what pixels repeat, how to compensate, and how to change it with varying colors like I have. In the latest SeeDReborn, there are many gradient options for the text boxes and I'll be offering that to the public as well. I guess I could share a screenshot of that progress:Ah, now I see. That was very dense of me, lol. Thanks for your time and also your hard work.
Wait a minute. Are you saying that modding on FF8R is already started and you guys already cracked the file structure?
That was quick. I thought we still stuck because they use a different format.
They are still stuck with backgrounds. They're trying to figure out how to properly access the .fl files. McIndus has up-scaled virtually everything in the textures folder as that was only locked behind a .zzz compression file that the modding community already figured out how to extract.
Wouldn't it be the .fs files instead? the .fi files are all really small, some are only 1kb, while the .fs files are much much larger. Shouldn't that be where we should look for the backgrounds?
I have a question because I don't remember now lol - I bought the Lunatic Pandora mod almost 2 years ago to the day and I didn't know - do we get updates to that? Do we get this upgrade? or do we have to buy it anew? Just curious - I looked a few weeks ago and didn't see any way to redownload the one I bought, so wasn't sure. Thanks Mcindus for all you're doing for us! Can't wait to have the ultimate version of FF8!!Its a Free mod, you don't have to pay for it, its always been free.

The fonts, icons/UI elements are actually set up almost exactly like the original SeeD mod by sl1982/Aali's Driver using .png's instead of the original .tex files. I updated that mod a long time ago, and it looks like they used it as a template for their version lol. They even stole my gradient to use in the remaster lol - it's a pixel perfect 'replica' which is pretty much impossible to do accidentally with gradients. it's probably just a cut/paste of mine. They also took the cut out textures I made for tripod cards, and stole two of my hand-crafted sprite animations for the magic sprites in triple triad. mwahahahahaha!

Probably not for a long time. They changed the file structure A LOT.
Not yet, but we're working on it.
Yes, definitely. I'll give the option of using default font or the updated SeeDReborn v4.1 font. If yagami light makes a version of his that works for this, we can implement it too.

when seeing the remasted reviews on yt, i feel that SE were like "here are the modele retextured, now you guys can implant the enhancements mods from the steam release into the remaster, and it will be finished"na if they were gonna do that, they wouldn't have screwed the whole file structure to make it unbelievably difficult.
Hy everyone,
I will re-ask a question cuz I'm not sure if I good understood. Is the Lunatic pandora mod package first created for FFVIII 2013 updated for FFVIII remastered?
Thanks
any updates? ;D
I'm actually starting to worry a little bit. I sent MCindus a message on Patreon 10 days ago that he still hasn't responded to. Lines up with the lack of updates here. I'm sure it's possible he's just busy at the moment, but it does have me a little concerned.
@rartart
from what he posted l think it "completed" as in the modded resources is completed but no one can make it works in game yet. Its like in fan-translation project, you say the script for english patch is 100% translated but then you still have to hack the game to put all those 100% translated scripts in game.
that's strange because there are already two series of modded textures that are already usable , what's the difference in this case ?
File type is different. For the mod that came out , the mod uses .png the game also uses png. Not so for this mod the game does not use .png.
I'd love to see the current status of Squall FMV face Mod :P
Small update to the main post - 3 more mods released and progress updated
Okay, so I am pretty decent at modding games and had no issues modding the old ffviii on steam. However, I have no clue what to do with this new tool zarchiver. I am reading the instructions and cannot for the life of me figure out what to do here. Can someone give more detailed instructions than are included in the readme please?
Well, I guess this one makes quite a good reference.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1865436325
But it still needs a bit modification until it resembles the original...
SE should at least have tried to make him look like that if they needed to modify his appearance according to his real age and make him younger.
I'm giving MCindus feedback on the finalized version for Squall's FMV mod as progress is being made. It's at 97% or so completion. Just gotta make a few more tiny tweaks and it's officially done. :)
Sadly they cannot remodel the hair just yet (The hair color was changed though, to a more noticeable brown). But the rest is golden! Even the color of his clothing was improved!
Once Squall's finished and put out there for the public to enjoy, Rinoa's FMV mod will be the next one put on the to-do list. With Zell right after that. So look forward to it! :D
P.S. MCindus feels that Quistis, Selphie, and Irvine in that order have the best looking models of the group. So if anything, those 3 will get the smallest amount of improvements, if none at all.
thanks :D , do you know if macindus or somene else here is also working at the battle special visual effects ? you know: dust , various sparkings , and all those effects that even in the remastered are the same low-quality effects from the very first 2000 pc version :O , with a permanent injection of those modified textures the game will be perfect , and what about the textures and models outside of the cities ? did anyone discovered were they are hidden in the remaster ?I don't think anyone is working on the battle SFX just yet. Certain things aren't available atm, or no one has gotten around to it bc it's a large undertaking. BUT, it is one of the future goals set in stone. And for textures/models outside of cities, that i'm not sure of. MCindus has put in a lot of world map improvements, to the point of insanity. lol :P
Squalls FMV mod is now completed! :) HE'S LOOKIN GOOOODDDD!!! We're absolutely sure you'll be satisfied with this lol.Oh man ... great news!!! When will it be published?? Any ETA??
He was improved upon from head to toe!
Oh man ... great news!!! When will it be published?? Any ETA??Up to 1 or 2 weeks i'd assume, once the QA testing is finished. Then it'll be available on Qhimm to download. But, on MCindus's Patreon you can download it now as early access for Patrons! :D
Those who can't donate won't own the remaster because of its price. You can get better games for this money.
Well, if you want high quality mods that are constantly being updated, then i see no problem with making it a support situation. Especially when it takes a lot of effort and a long time to work on things. It's either have a full-time job on top of other irl situations that don't give you much free time to work on such mods, or have a part-time/no job and be able to put out high quality mods more frequently. If you want things early, such as all of the finished mods, then help support. :)
But, after all the mods are completed and a decent amount of time has went by, then i personally feel it's okay to open it up with a free option to the public.
For now, support is needed as things are being worked on still. :D
A pre-made package will be created for a much easier setup, while having a "pretty cheap" fee to access and download. A simpler alternative, with not as much effort required. The Lunatic Pandora mod pack.
And for the free option, you'll have to download each mod separately while setting it all up by yourself, like how it was done before.
Dude simmer down a little , there has been no disparity between anyone so far , i really don't that changing in the future. we are all on the same team here, modders or not.
that's exactly what i said damn it , clearly is ok to get donations , but it doesn't men that people who can't donate should get a different treatment, after all just because i am not a modder it doesn't mean that i bite everything that i get told , i know that it doens't take money to create a mod , so is not like all of a sudden it must become a problem for those who can't donate , we aren't all made of money , also is not like sites like this one get created because people ask for them , but because the modders know they can make it , so it isn't like all of a sudden nothing can proceed without donation , and of course it won't kill you to treat those who don't donate the same way as those who donated something

Hey rartart! I just want you to know that the patreon/donation setup is basically one way I can give people who are really devoted to the mods a way to be able to part of the creation of them. They are essentially being a QA team for the mods! I give my patrons the mods for 2-3 days so that they can do QA and let me know if there are any issues before I publish them to the public, and in NO WAY is this a barrier to the mods themselves! They will NEVER be 'pay-only', and there will always be a way to install and use them without having to pay that is an official release! :)
Current FF8 Lunatic Pandora: Remaster Mods in progress:
SeeDRemastered v1.0 will be broken up!
SeeDRemastered UI v1.0 (http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=19238.0) - all UI and icons custom created, new gradients, frames, menu's, etc. from SeeDReborn v4.1 -- will eventually contain v3.5 and v3.2 "vanilla" mod options as well.
SeeDRemastered Fonts v1.0 - currently fixing font widths due to the remaster using their own fonts and widths compared to the 2013 PC release, going to offer all 3 of my fonts as options. (Yagami Light, want in?)
SeeDRemastered Gradients v1.0 - making all SeeDReborn v4.1 gradient colors and patterns available for FF8 Remastered!
Tripod: Remastered v1.1 -- new high res background, updated number fonts, updated texture anim sprites, includes 2048 upscaled Tripod mod 2015 textures with new borders done by me, with new main character borders done by Hikashi!
LunarCry - FieldModels Mod: Remastered v1.0[/u] - Their textures are sloppy 3x 368x368 (768 RAM pages), i've used ESRGAN with a few models to compile/upscale better ones at the same resolution. (they look twice the quality!)
Gerogero US Censorship -- FIXED in battle and all cards.
Lionheart: Remastered v1.0 - Weapons are given updated textures. Squall's weapons are easier to differentiate, and Seifer, Zell (new texture+color for Gauntlet), Laguna, and Kiros all have updated weapons textures!
RebirthFlame: Remastered v1.1 - Squall modded to look like FMV Squall. Can NOT edit hair polygons yet, but did a texture and color overhaul. Replaced his eyes and mouth, etc.!
Ultimecia Ears -- pointed? lol.. should be able to erase a texture and fix that, no model fix needed.
One silly question, is any of this mod an upscaling of the background (like Project AngelWing)?
Thanks
Once we can insert the images into the Remaster, I'll be working on porting Project Angelwing v3!
Right now, we can't mod the backgrounds, world textures, or battlefields, so those mods are 'on hold' until we can -- BUT -- Maki's making amazing progress!
Once we can insert the images into the Remaster, I'll be working on porting Project Angelwing v3!It would be a good idea of having GUM mod adapted (or maybe Angelwing v3 will be using AI for upscaling too)

Project Angelwing v3 is a Gigapixel AI project, so until Ark/Manakaiser finishes their custom field upscale, PA3 will be (in my opinion) the best field upscale available.
RebirthFlame: Remastered v1.1 available NOW!!! (Squall 'fix')

Maybe you will be able to modify Squall better according to those face values (eye shape and mouth).(https://i.ytimg.com/vi/RthEHFIoHr8/maxresdefault.jpg)
I used to own this particular playstation magazine issue (greek edition). I can't find it anymore though.
It used to come with the demo that had a different battle scene during the galbadia mission.

Thanks for the clarification, cant wait then!!I don't know if this is what you want but...
BTW ... is there any way (in case you've looked into it) to 'expand' the game's screen size to fit entirely (up and down but mantaining the 4:3 format)?; obviously mandatory on the sides but I just hate those black bars
^ bad idea makes the games graphics gets really messed up in certain areas dont botherMight try the height stretch this weekend to see how it goes
Current FF8 Lunatic Pandora: Remaster Mods in progress:Thanks for all the hard work Mcindus. I have a question, I was wondering would you be adding a GUM remaster to the new Lunatic Pandora Remaster Mod or would that have to be downloaded separate like before?
SeeDRemastered v1.0 will be broken up!
SeeDRemastered UI v1.0 (http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=19238.0) - all UI and icons custom created, new gradients, frames, menu's, etc. from SeeDReborn v4.1 -- will eventually contain v3.5 and v3.2 "vanilla" mod options as well.
100% complete - RELEASED v1.0 - 'vanilla' mods progress = 25% - Multi-Language release = 35% *PRIORITY*
SeeDRemastered Fonts v1.0 - currently fixing font widths due to the remaster using their own fonts and widths compared to the 2013 PC release, going to offer all 3 of my fonts as options. (Yagami Light, want in?)
75% complete
SeeDRemastered Gradients v1.0 - making all SeeDReborn v4.1 gradient colors and patterns available for FF8 Remastered!
30% complete

100% complete - RELEASED v1.1 --- 'low res' version in progress, for people without SSDs ---
LunarCry - FieldModels Mod: Remastered v1.0 - Their textures are sloppy 3x 368x368 (768 RAM pages), i've used ESRGAN with a few models to compile/upscale better ones at the same resolution. (they look twice the quality!)
100% complete - RELEASED! - once we can replace 'regular' enemies and their battle models, i'll add those to this pack and rename it to simply 'LunarCry: Remastered v1.0'
Gerogero US Censorship -- FIXED in battle and all cards.
100% Complete - RELEASED!

100% - RELEASED!
**Rinoa is next on the list for an overhaul to be included in this mod**
Ultimecia Ears -- pointed? lol.. should be able to erase a texture and fix that, no model fix needed.

New title screen (2048x2048), new squaresoft screen logo, etc. also created! Working my butt off :)
Back to work!
Anyone know why there hasn't been an HD background mod yet?The resolution of backgrounds in the remaster seems to be hard-coded. They can replace them, but they can't use higher resolutions yet. It requires recoding parts that they currently need help with.
Last I heard, people found a way to decompress the .zzz files.
If people have been able to replace textures, why not backgrounds too?
I can't find any discussions about this, so did people lose interest? Are there technical issues?

That really sucks. How about battle field textures, as well as world map textures?
Those are all 3D so at the very least, they should be possible to insert HD textures, right?
Field backgrounds, Battlefields, World Textures, most enemies, and Magics/Limit Break textures are all not replaceable at this time. Maki has been making some amazing headway as far as all of that is concerned, so we're all waiting with our fingers crossed that we'll be able to put those in.
If there was some way for Tonberry to be able to be used in OpenGL, that would solve the texture problems -- but that seems like a larger task than even what Maki is doing. Any help from any programmers is greatly appreciated/needed.
On discord Maki has been posting progress reports on his mod that enables mods on remaster. Hopefully early 2020 he'll have a release ready. MCINDUS has been getting some of his filenames reorganized/renamed. So they will hopefully be ready to go in the remaster, when Maki is done. :D
Via Qhimm Discord, Maki said that he's unlocked:
field textures
battle characters
battle monsters
worldmap textures
textures now read dynamic size
game reads from local unpacked files instead of archives
minor tweaks and backdoors
Only thing not 'unlocked' thus far is battlefields.
Maki says once he finishes, he'll do bugfixes and post his project.
I'm ready to explode.
I'm already renaming my battle monsters and battlefields to be able to be used more easily with the Remaster's naming conventions. I'm also going to provide higher resolution options for my packs.
HYPE.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
The zzz limits us. It's one of the reasons Maki started the project. People wanted to go over the size limit. And it slowed down testing mods to have to jump through another hoop. Though I coulda improved my tool. Maki was working on this so it's be kinda like wasted effort.nah , no wasted effort , the point is that there are people like me who prefer to permanently mod the archives and people who prefer a temporary way of activate the modded textures , also the limit of the size for the archives is already solved right ? with all the modded textures you all created the archive is already running correctly despite the fact that is bigger , also it is possible that this version of final fantasy 8 is programmed in a similar way to the pc version of final fantasy 12 ? because even final fantasy 12 the zodiac age would have problems with the modification of the size of the archives , but the problem is prevented if you change the registered size of the file archive that you are modifying
Pretty sure I can make it look HD using copy and pasting, with some digital painting here and there.
They are mostly using the same uniform, right? Still a lot of detail work after pasting to clean up the edges and re-drawing the hair and face for any that don't have an upgraded 3D model somewhere to copy -- if we don't want a garden of clones, that is.
Of course anything would look better than the jaggy smear-monsters we have right now. How many backgrounds have those baked-in models?
In case anyone hasn't seen it yet, Maki released the tool here:
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=19432.0
Once you're done releasing the HD backgrounds Mcindus, I wonder if I can have a go at the pixelated characters:
(https://assets.rockpapershotgun.com/images/2019/09/FF8-Remastered-Balamb-Garden-students.jpg)
Pretty sure I can make it look HD using copy and pasting, with some digital painting here and there.
There is no XNALara for FF8's HD models as far as I know, so no, ripping models isn't feasible.
If for some reason we're desperate for a certain model in a certain position, I can give it a try.
And that's what I meant by copy-and-pasting, with some digital touching. For example, I would copy and paste that girl sitting by the pixelated mess, then edit the hair.
I'm glad that Mcindus' porting process is going smoothly.
Once the mod is out, we should all band together to test that the mod fully works, and find instances of all baked characters, and possibly instances where we can grab HD characters. For example, I remember there's a blurry Cid in front of the school directory board. Maybe we'll screencap a pic of Cid at Edea's orphanage, and use it in the school.
(https://i.gyazo.com/e250cd45bf02091e9a751339bde8c044.png)
You should randomly add a tiny version of him to a few of the backgrounds, hidden in some out of the way place, like an Easter Egg hunt. 8-D
Hello, i have installed Lunatic Pandora in the install folder. When i start FF8_Ultra_Launcher it says "FF8_Launcher.EXE does not exist." After changed the name of my "FFVIII_Launcher.exe" to "FF8_Launcher.EXE", game starts but without the new textures.
Is it possible to make completely new scenes using Maki's mod?
Are we going to be able to pick and choose what mods to install with this?
Haha that would be hilarious. Like the toy soldier mission from ff7 kinda
Oh... here's 'THE' fix for projectangelwing gp ai using the Remaster - live and working:

Xathyr, that is exactly what this thread is about. Everything on the first page of this thread is progress on his FF8 Remaster mods. (That's what the "R" in the title means.) As of the last update he is still testing on Disk 2 for fields and battle backgrounds.I'm so dumb, i just read on the first page "released" on a few mods and i thought it was already done and available alongside the Lunatic Pandora, that's why when it didn't work i just assumed it was meant for the 2013 steam version.
I'm sure he will release a complete-remaster-all-in-one-easy-install pack when he is done.
Posted an update on the main thread!Hey Mcindus,
Battlefield Pack Alpha will be available to my Patrons tomorrow!
Once it is tested, I will have a public release.
Also working on a Lunatic Pandora installer ::smile::
Anyone know if we're going to get a 60fps combat mod? 15FPS is so janky
60 fps will break it
How so?
I'm confuse, is there any way actually to instal thoose mods in ff8 remaster :
Project Angelwing Gigapixel AI by Fated Courage
Battlefields: Remastered v1.1
HorizonPack: Remastered v1.0
Thx for the answer.
Thank you from Italy for your exceptional work, there are two questions i wanted to ask you
Do you recommend to play this remastered version with the upcoming lunatic pandora mods or keeping the old version of the game with the old mods?
What about the Roses and Wine mod to insert the ps1 music for this version(remastered), is it out yet?
No mod will come close to the character model upgrades introduced in the remaster. Given that, there's no a way new mod of the older version will be better than an older mod on the remaster.
And the remaster already uses the PS1 music.
looks like i wont work for me. used the demaster manager and Extracted the Files . moved the Mod files into the DEMASTER_EXP Directory . started the game with Steam and with the Launcher in the game Folder. and i tested to Stop Kaspersky from Scanning .... but the Battle maps are the same (looks totaly different from the Screenshot of that Mod. any Idea ?
did i missed something todo ??
Its Installed on my M: Drive
I'm having the same problem. I've installed all the mods and none of them appear to have been applied. I've tried both methods, with zzzDeArchive and the Demaster tool, but nothing is changed. The game is still vanilla. Any ideas?I did have the same problem as you but i was not using the most *ahem* legal version of the game, it worked first try when i bought it on steam with lastest build of demaster
Final Update: Ok, I think I've solved it. Apparently after loading once Demaster wouldn't load everything again after adding new files. The solution for me was to overwrite all of the Demaster files from the github release in the ff8 folder, which caused it to load everything again. Pretty weird.
So I bit the bullet and tried installing all of the 100% mods. It was a bit tricky. I needed to first install all of the zzz DeArchive mods, then I used Maki's DEMASTER tool to unpack everything that I just merged into the zzz DeArchive mod, dumped all of the textures into the texture directory, then ran the DEMASTER Launcher. Then I started the game from scratch. But I have two bugs now.
(1) Sometimes a character's textures will be all jumbled up. Like, a face texture will be on an arm or a chest of a character. Looks really crazy.
(2) I don't see any of the magazines. They're invisible. Timber maniacs, Weapons Monthy, they're all invisible.
What's the best way to debug these issues?
I managed to solve the characters textures (Selphie in my case) by following these steps from Mcindus
1. Rename DEMASTER_EXP folder
2. Run ffviii_demaster_manager
3. Unpack the zzz files
4. Copy DEMASTER_EXP/textures/field.fs/field_hd to original (renamed) Demaster folder
5. Rename NEW DEMASTER_EXP to DEMASTER_BACKUP
6. Rename your original Demaster folder back to DEMASTER_EXP
Project Angelwing Gigapixel AI by Fated Courage porting to Remaster --PROJECT UPDATED/UPGRADED to ESRGAN 'Ultima' Edition!!!Is there perhaps any rough ETA on the remastered compatible release? I've installed v2.0 on the Steam release but will hold off for the new remastered version if not too long away! 8-)
Formatted, Renamed, Fixes made -- Alpha Testing Phase -- ADDING NEW ALPHA CUTOUTS TO MOD!!!
ALPHA VERSION of GP RELEASED TO PATRONS -- 'Ultima' TO BE COMPLETED SOON!
Thanks to Mcindus and other modders we already have new battle backgrounds, new UI, characters, enemies, FMVs, weapons, worldmap textures...
The most important thing left is a version of Project AngelWing v3.0 (for all languages) compatible with Demaster. The pixelated backgrounds is the only "non remastered" content left.
Working on the LAST Background!
Angelwing: Ultima is almost here!
As soon as it's complete I'll be releasing to Patrons for bug testing and QA for a few weeks until public release!
Thank you so much everyone involved, and for all of your hard work
@DefyingFate
Updated a few mods!Thanks!
Enjoy!
Thanks!
Will the upscaled FMV also be included in the Lunatic Pandora: Remaster mod package?
That is not currently the plan due to the many different FMV mods being offered as it would make the mod HUGE. In the future, I will be doing my best to work with Darziak, Fated Courage, and Klitlika to create the best FMV pack possible that I will THEN include in an addendum/update/separate installer to the main LP pack.

In the future, I will be doing my best to work with Darziak, Fated Courage, and Klitlika to create the best FMV pack possible that I will THEN include in an addendum/update/separate installer to the main LP pack.Thanks for your efforts. I can't wait to try the game with Lunatic Pandora mods. Btw are there any update about the public release?
Hi, i have downloaded demaster but how Can i play the game in widescreen ? Actually in 4k i have black bars at the left and right of the screen
////-----------//
///**Magnify**///
//-----------////
#define USE_Magnify 1 //[Magnify] //-
//>Magnify Shader Settings<\\
#define magnifyStartPixelWidth 240 //[undef] //-
#define magnifyStartPixelHeight 31 //[undef] //-
#define magnifyEndPixelWidth 2340 //[undef] //-
#define magnifyEndPixelHeight 1409 //[undef] //-
#define Magnify_ToggleKey RFX_ToggleKey //[undef] //-Toggles the magnify shader
You would need to download Reshade 4.3.0 in order to utilize the Magnify feature to stretch it.
https://www.mediafire.com/file/jl5gh1ir8k6jl1t/ReShade_Setup_4.3.0.exe/file
Install steps are explained at this link:
https://www.naguide.com/final-fantasy-viii-8-remastered-widescreen-fix/
You then need to edit the file BasicFX.cfg file located within reshade-shaders\Shaders\ReShade of your FF8R folder with the width and height you want to use. Here's an example I use for 2560x1440p:Code: [Select]////-----------//

#define USE_Magnify 1 //[Magnify] //-
//>Magnify Shader Settings<\\

#define magnifyEndPixelWidth 2340 //[undef] //-
#define magnifyEndPixelHeight 1409 //[undef] //-
#define Magnify_ToggleKey RFX_ToggleKey //[undef] //-Toggles the magnify shader

If you are also using SpecialK to fix the low FPS issue that's where it gets tricky. You'll need to use SKIF to launch the game (delete SpecialK from your FF8 directory before installing reshade) and inject the driver globally. When all is said and done you'll get something like this hopefully:

I have an error at the launch of the game, it seem demaster is not compatible with reshade ???
Hey there, just wondering if Angelwing Ultima is still in Alpha phase. I have been following this project for ages, I hop on here like once a week to check the board - you guys do incredible work. Any chance we'll see a full release here in the near future?
Yes, but it will very soon go public. Just squashing the last of the bugs and making sure I have everything ready for my Lunatic Pandora Ultima Pack as well. When I drop LPU for Patrons/VIPs/Donors, the AW:U mod will go public for anyone to download and install themselves :)YES waiting eagerly and patiently for your sweet sweet wizardry

Hi people! I'm looking for some help on how to use the Demaster program, with the Remaster version.
So far I have DL'd the latest version of the program, went through the installation instructions where it creates the DEMASTER_EXP folder, and stuck all mod 'texture' folders inside the DEMASTER_EXP folder.
Is there anything else I should be doing? Because (so far) nothing seems to have changed? I even have the SeeDRemaster UI mod (Demaster version) with the new colour icons, gradients, etc. but nothing has changed at all?
I have a feeling the Demaster program (when running) that the black box shouldn't be blank/black? Or is that normal?
Many thanks :)
Hi
i signed up to ask what i wrong exactly with my setup, i followed the YT video (35minutes long) but it seems outdated since i have the FF8Remastered 1.0.3 which means the demaster mod isn't working with however i did get the menus Tech font/style working other than that everything looks the same !!!
just signed up to mcindus patreon, is this the latest version you can download? Angelwing: Ultima - Remastered v1.0.a, whats the point in an alpha test if it hasn't been updated in 9 months? if mcindus is here can you tell me if there are newer files please?fated posted a new video on youtube recently , he's had alot going on but said he was getting back into the project.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srMG3e3gFms
Does anyone know whether this project's been abandoned? It's been over a year since the original post was updated and went onto state they were putting the final touches toward getting a version compatible with the remaster released...
I live in hope! ???
You have to look at the last edit time from the bottom of the first post rather then the "last updated" text at the top of post, which was updated much more recently. He updated his patron very recently, and the project is very much still active.
Hey, so I peeked in on the patreon page and it seems that there was a release back in April. I've been following on Qhimm forever and I'm just wondering if we are any closer to a release here. If the only way to play this is going to be by getting on the patreon, that's cool too, you have done a ton of excellent work. So if you could can you let us know if the mod is coming anytime soon to Qhimm and if not, is there a complete and working package available on patreon?
Hey there! Haven't seen any updates later, even on McIndus twitter. I'm saving my first FFVIII Remastered playthrough to be played with the Lunatic Pandora mod xD
Hope to see some news soon!
