Sound Effect Descriptions

Yes, I've decided to start documenting the sound effects of FF7 HERE

And if you think I've totally lost it this time, think again.  I'm not going through these in any kind of project.  Instead, I've added all effects to my winamp playlist, and when one plays, I add it.  When one doesn't, I listen to the playlist song instead.

So progress will be slow.  If you want access then let me know and you can help.

Good thing.
I had begun to do it, like two years ago, and had spotted and identified like 30 of them. Unfortunately, the document vanished when my thumb drive died  :x annoys me a lot, I wanted to have it finished and ready for a time like this, and I really wished I could be of help.
I may give it another go when I'm finally finished with my rig and my room.

There are two things I remember..
A sound effect can be used for more than one action ( that is for sure ).
And I *think* one action can trigger more than one sound effect. Like one sound effect and then immediately another ( I believe that is the case with one of Bahamut's attacks ).
So for example, I think it is possible that :

( all that is made up )
Elixir / Regen spell / ennemy curative attack x --> each uses Sound A
Fire spell / some bomb item / ennemy fire attack x --> each uses Sound B
Summoning Odin --> uses Sound B + Sound A

Hey hey.. found my old repertory with all the sfx in it.. In fact I didn't create any document, I had just renamed some of the sfx files with the names of the corresponding sounds.

And did I say 30 ? ..well, more like 200
I'm writing them here first ( SFX n° - name given ... notes ), and then DLPB, if you're okay with me updating the google sheet, no problem for me.. you decide.

So.. This list is two year old, and it's been AGES since the last time I played VII. So memory isn't serving me well. The game wasn't even installed and I made this list based mainly on the YT channel and videos.
So there are unknowns, probably mistakes, but for the most part I'm fairly confident.
Correct me if you spot any mistake in there. And if you remember a sound being also something else than just what I wrote, that's welcome too.

Yes, the same sound can be heard in a lot of place, and can be used for many things.. be it an attack in battle, and a slap on the field, and a part of something else and more, all for the same sound.
a part, yes.. Some actions, or events, or anything ( summoning Leviathan, some limit breaks, Jessie opening the deciphered gate, casting Demi/2/3 ) can require two or three sfx to play in a definite order.
So as you see, thing aren't that simple.

I think the best way to spot which sound is which, is to replace them with a voiced number. So when the game plays sound 07 you will here 'Seven'.

Anyway 200 is pretty much. I would like to see if we can use Ultrasound to play the sounds instead, because the channels the game use are some how buggy and like to kill each other. It is fixable for the field, but I suppose battle and especially the motor bike minigame do suffer from the games sound system.
