DCMbr, I got that message too.  The fix I found was to enable post processing and to not enable any of the shader options.

More pressing however:

I think I've narrowed down the reason why the Catalog isn't downloading some of the mods.  It not downloading any mods that are larger than 100MB.  Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the Mods are hosted on Google Drive.  Google Drive scans files for viruses and it won't do it if the file is over 100MB and will not allow the download.  Well... It will allow the download but you have to manually download from your browser and import the mods.  The URL for the file is buried in the temp .iro file that's created when you start a download.

Any way around the manually importing that anyone knows of?

Speaking of stupid questions.  Many of the limit break attacks are greyed out for me and I cannot edit them.  Is there something I am missing?

I was able to get it to work on Windows 10 by adding msvcp71.dll into the directory you extracted the zip file into.  I had the same error you did.

Hello!

So It's been a few years since I've tried modding FF7 and I used to use Bootleg.  Now 7th Heaven is out and I am trying to use it.  There are a few that are not working:

Avatars
Omzy Textures
Battle Textures
Spell Textures
And maybe a few others

I am not that far in the game so I haven't seen the over world yet. 

What files do I have to see to start troubleshooting this?  Is there a log somewhere?  Where do I find it?

hmmm...  It would appear that the program can't see the dlls.  I have them placed in the correct folders and I think the settings are correct.  Can you double check for me?  I've attached images.

Thanks so much :) I have the steam version and it would appear that this is not working anymore.  Not a huge deal as the game is wonderful as is without the add-ons.  But I like different flavors on my umpteenth time playing through it :)

OK so this is like a four year old thread...  But I have questions and it's worth a shot anyway.

What do each of these add-on's do?

Hard.dll = Hard mode with weapon damage modifications as stated on page one of this thread.
Damage.dll = Damage cap removed
HP.dll = HP Cap Removed
Magic.dll = ??
Publish.dll = ??


Really just Magic and publish I have no idea about.

Rez-ing this thread...  So one thing that always bothered me was the fact that you gain no exp from bosses in this game.  I thought it would be cool to gain one level for each boss fight.  So i used Ifrit to edit the bosses' exp to 1000 each boss but it did not reflect in the game.  Am I doing something incorrectly?  There was a little bit of learning curve when it came to this program but overall i think it's way cool!  once i get it to work that is lol

Did you load the game with the patch after she died?

that may have been it... crud.  I'll have to Chocobo her in now...  Bummer.  I was hoping to see the extra dialog/gameplay for her revival.

Hey there!  I just got to disk three with the bootleg patches and I have the Aeris revival box checked...  Yet no aeris has come back.  I am not using any difficulty mods or hardcore modes or anything.  Just graphical mods.

I found this on another thread done by Espio just to show that i have looked for a solution/explaination. (I don't know how to quote across threads.)

I didn't mix and match.  All I did to the kernel files was mod a few weapons and armor.  Did I break the patch?

Got it man.  It seems to be working now.  with the exception of the item text but that's negligible for my purposes.  Thanks for all the help! :D

I've had limited success with it now.  Running it as admin seemed to help a little but not consistently.  I am installing it to the default folders with windows 8.1 64x.  The weapons i can mod a bit now but the items I cannot.  I use the Diamond Tiara as a test item and the text is always the same.  The update text box is always greyed out as well (this may be why the tiara isn't displaying the correct text.

Also, one other thing i noticed.  When I got frustrated and decided to start from scratch, the kernel file wasn't where WM thought it was.  It displayed a kernel file in the open dialog box but when i got there via windows explorer there was no folder/file to be found.

If I was any good at anything visually artistic I might take a stab at it...  However my skills are limited to music and that's about it.  Still though...  Thank you so much for developing this!

SO this tool is about the coolest thing i've ever seen when it comes to modding FFVII.  It makes modding super simple for many already popular mods.

Two thumbs up!  The mods that replace the models in the game are ay cool but they focus mainly on the playable characters and the npcs.  Are there any mods out there for enemy overhauls?  Like the guard scorpion mod by Team Avalanche!  That was sick.

I'm pretty sure that The Kernel is loaded there.  I removed the kernel file from that folder and was unable to load the game at all.  If that was the case I think that the game would still run seeing as it would be a different kernel file.

So I'm checking this editor out and it's a little different from what I am used to.  I am having issues.  Here's what I am doing step-by-step and it appears that nothing is happening.

PC 2012 port with Tifa's bootleg (don't know if that makes a difference but it doesn't hurt to share that info.)

1. open kernel.bin
2. click on "Weapons" tab
3. change Buster Sword's Growth to "None"
4. Create Kernel.bin and Kernel2.bin
5. open game
6. observe no change  ???

Am I missing a step?  I also tested this with changing the text of the Diamond Tiara to "Just a testing tiara" and there were no changes there either :|.

Please advise!

(overall though this looks like a really powerful editor... I'm sure I'll love it if i can get it to work lol)
