YES I have a legal version of the game it's patched to 1.02.

I set my resolutions in the CFG file, ran the FF7Config.exe, then ran the REG file, no effect on the game.

What am I doing wrong?

I bought the Steam Version of FF7, I am hoping this is moddable.

There used to be a MOD, that you could swap out the music and replace it with your own.  LIke changing the battle theme, etc etc.  Does this still exist?

I don't know where I found it but I found teh Advent Children avatars, but very high quality and crisp clear, the ones that are linked on the boards are very dotty and faded, was there an updated version that was much ebtter, because now I don't know where i cound them.

What I am noticing if you have the high-res patch on and the updated character models, the game slows down quite a bit.  It can't really handle the enhanced graphics (the game engine can't) that is.

Eventually I keep getting random freezes within the game, and have to End Process from the Task Manager and restore the game.

I am currently, using the FF7 music, high res, and upgraded models.

I have a feeling it's got to be one or the other with this game, since the engine is so old it can't really handle it.  Anyway to circumvent the consistent random crashes within the game, or freezes?

Okay for days now I have been running my FF7 with the HIGH-res patch, and ff7 music patch.  I just found the upgraded version on FIcedula's website and now all of a sudden I am getting run time errors when i try to run FF7, what is going on?

I had THIS SAME PROBLEM before.  It took my hours to figure it out.  Now I re=installed my windows, I use the K-Lite MEga Code Pack, and I CAN PLAY the movies in Media Player Classic without a problem, not upside down or nothing.

However when the movies play in game, I CAN HEAR them but not see them, what is going on?
