I tried that and it still doesn't work. You may be right, I probably need to reformat or something...

Could you go into a deeper explaination of how FF7 actually interacts with the movies?

For example, if I install Remix and replace the opening movie with a HQ version (same filename and ext) it no longer plays at all.

I've only been able to get the movies to work 100% w/ Remix, but it's absolutely annoying how low quality the movies are.

Brat, can you take a look at my attachment? Maybe it will give you a clue to what I'm doing wrong in regards to Bootleg?

I'm getting frustrated installings mods for this game. I'm using bootleg and it seems great and all but to be honest it's a clusterfuck in my opinion. I'd rather have an installer that does everything, period. Anyways, all I want is 1 single thing that way I can replay my beloved FF7.

THE ONE THING: HQ Movies

- I prefer 640smooth
- FMVRes Secondary

I have tried everything to get these movies to work and they simply won't play at all in-game!

I prefer Remix + one of the above movies if possible...

Thx

I can't figure out how to use any version of high quality movies to work with bootleg + remix. When I start a new game the screen remains black; no movie starts and I hear the train stopping, then a box pops up saying, "Follow me newcomer!". I have to press + to load the menu then backup and the game begins. No sound plays with HQ music pack. Any ideas?

All i want is:

1) HQ movies
2) HQ Sound
3) Remix

Nothing special.

I don't see the option in Black Chocobo.

Thanks guys,
Tony

I just started up FF7 Remix v2 and It still works like a charm. I guess I was one of the lucky ones...

knowing your pc specs, windows version, and what upgrades you have installed would probably expedite help from other forum users.

Thanks for the replies so far,

I downloaded ffsave 1.03 and it did not generate new save files the black command box would just disappear and nothing happens.

I downloaded Black_Chocobo and I loaded the sample .VPM save and it WORKS beautifully in-game. But, when I load my .VPM save (SCEVMC0.VMP) from the PSP version and convert it to PC format (.ff7) the file will not load! It appears there but says "Invalid Save File!" Like I said, I can convert the sample .VPM no problem and it works fine. PSP saves bugged?

I could just deal with it and start all over but I worked hard on my save file and I do not want to generate one. I did not realize that such great upgrades were still in the works so I got interested in the PC version again.

Anyone?

EDIT: I don't know maybe I'm doing something wrong? I can view my save file in detail with Black_Chocobo... all of my items and materia that I aquired are there. I'm using the EXPORT TO PC action.

Do they? I wasted like 100 hours maxing everything out on PSP and now I'm going to test out the new mods for PC. I like to have the "perfect save for my standards" on standy by for satisafaction purposes. I could always do it again. Anyone?

EDIT: PSP FF7 save folder is named "SCUS94163", contents: CONFIG.bin, ICON0.PNG, PARAM.SFO, SCEVMC0.VMP, SCEVMC1.VMP

I would of made my own save file from the pc game but I can't get past the new game selection because it is not patched. I tried dumping the PSP save into c:\...\save folder but it didn't work. LOL. DAMN!

the page doesn't have to be anything fancy, but a giant resource for everything that is ff7 mods. as long as all the information is there it doesn't matter so much what it looks like. look at google and craigslist. simple and gets the job done. i could help out with the site/forum.

Someone should make a website where you can download different models and other things final fantasy. I haven't seen a single site out there dedicated to "everything". There are lots of good models out there but they are randomly hosted on filefront or something like that. Someone make a dedicated site! Thanks.

that is a very nice program, but unfortunately, it still doesn't help. Most of the keys will work, but it will not get the controller back to the original ps1 standard because you cannot unbind keys inside the customize controller options. this means there will always be atleast 2 or more conflicting keys at once. any idea how to fix this? when the keys conflict, the in-game ff7 setup takes priority. i can't be the only person having this problem out there. anyone else have any ideas how to fix this? im really surprised with all the modding and tweaking here, no one has a resolution for this...

ya i don't have a lot of money right now to purchase another controller. im looking for someone who knows how to get all buttons to operate on a ps3 controller for ff7 or a program that will allow to bind keys. but thanks for the input.

PS3 controller doesn't work properly on FF7 - I just tested it. All buttons work (including joystick) except the 4 main ones: Square, Triangle, Circle, X. Kind of useless, huh? Any ideas? All buttons work on all other games.

I searched the entire forum for FF7 and this is all I was able to come up with:

http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=5335.0

Well, according to the topic, they work. But how exactly? Most controllers are configured with drivers and do not come with setup programs to bind keys. Anyone have any ideas or any good websites that can show me how to use a controller? Thanks.

Nevermind.

"Sephiroth Crescent, were the field, world_us, and chocabo lgp files the default ones and did you maxium install FF7? If so, did you create a new lgp file with the updated models in the folders that you create to make it work? Also, it does update the world map files.
Hey, since I know you, I could send you a PM with a link to my working files if you can't get it working."

I have one more question. Is the NPC Reconstruction Project FF7PC 0.6 supposed to make Cloud look more realistic on the world map? I would of attempted to post in the reconstruction topic but it is locked. Thanks.

Okay, thanks for the reply.

Hi guys. I have been reading the forum and I can't seem to find anyone having issues with this high-resolution mod so I've decided to post.

When I click patch, an error appears, and says "File not exist or write protected. Search for the file?"

I click OK to search for ff7.exe, and it still does the same error and the patch fails.
