Well, first stop for finding out progress is the website; http://remake.alhexx.com

It's not 100% up to date - the "About" page hasn't been edited in months - but the screenshots and work log have been updated recently (ie. past few days).

If you'd like to join the team, you should contact SaiNt. Say what you can do, and samples of your work are always welcome ;)

It is? Ummm ... why?

The new screenshot is showing the transparency and lighting effects ... is there some reason it shouldn't run at 113FPS? ;)

Well, no ... the field module isn't very intensive after all - field 3d models are low-ish detail. You'd expect high frame rates, all things considered. 113 isn't bad ... on the one hand, my graphics card isn't very powerful, but then again I do have a shiny new XP1700 to back it up with.

Welcome Zephrious! Finally, I have one of my own to talk to! What program do you like to use for your 3D? Maya, Lightwave... Max? *cringes*

How are you at modeling? We could use a good modeler... (I suck, but that's my personal opinion...)

How I envy you people that know how to make 3D animation.  Having the ability to do that is far much better that being able to write good stories, or play music.  That is why I'm starting to try to learn how to a little bit of 3D animation.  What's a good program to start with, and where should I go for tutorials?

Yay, then this means that we could have a couple of FMVs in the remake.  Zephrious, can you show us some of your work?

you could dow... ehm..... buy a program such as lightwave.

or, if youre like me, use milkshape. its simple and easy. unfortunately, it has limited capabilities.

or theres gMAX (made by discreet) no file exporting options, and made primarily for player models. It also comes with a nice tutorial system.

At my college, City College Norwich, we get our connection through the university and it is hyper quick. I get like 800kb/s.

As an offical member of the Remake, I have an offical announcement:

There are currently no plans to have any FMVs in the remake. That does not discount the possibility of having some in the future.

So don't start making plans about what to do with the FMVs when we don't have anything set in stone.
