I would like to make a FF7 tribute... but I need some of the backgrounds from the game... how can I extract them... (preferably to a jpeg)?

Try 7mimic it's in french but it works fairly good. This is for FF7 PSX.. there are other ones for the PC version.

Can't Qhimm's Gast do that? (I haven't tried that before, I don't have FF7 for 2 years now since I came to UK)

We do sell FF7 in the UK, you know   Although, I have not seen it in a long time. I got it on PSX second hand for about £10 from GAME. Working well. I use it on my PS2, has anyone tried using the PS2's texture smoother with FF7? It's the first game I've seen work with it.

When I came over it was 2001, and I'm pretty sure I haven't seen any FF7 (Not even PSX!) in any gamestores in Bluewater for me at least. I've only seen FFIX and some other FF series.

If you want FFVII Pc get it on Ebay. I've been meaning to get another copy off FFVII Pc to replace my origenal one (my disk 2 is broken, lucky only movies that are on other CD's are broken, shame I'm running XP and cant run the mighty PC version). I've seen them going for around £10-20 so thats not to bad.

So try www.ebay.co.uk or something if you REALLY want a copy.

Yep... been keeping my eye on that... 'cause I can't really see any other options to get FF7... thanks for the advice though.  :)

Well my reason I emulate it is that's the only version of FF7 I have.
It looks fairly good at 1024x768 even though the backgrounds are highly pixelated (not as though one wouldn't expect that!).

I should have bought it when it was $10 at office max though (PC), but I was thinking (I have the PSX version why would I buy the PC?).

Oh well :)
