tell me what you think of the animation
-
Lookin nice so far. keep up the good work
-
Definitely post up a video once you get these working! I'm also curious, if the original battle stance animation was 20 frames, can you go over that limit to make it 60? or more?
I suppose anything over 15fps won't be noticeable, but some animations really need tinkering
-
Oh so, you mean you're basically making FFVII into Crisis Core?
I'm pretty sure something like that is doable. Now that I think of it, I don't think there is a program that allows you to change the order of events and stuff, so in other words. The first mission could be edited without much trouble, since it is basically the same mission in Crisis Core. But then, when the mission is done; instead of going to the slums, you go straight to the ShinRa building? Oooh, that reminds me. Whatever happened to that Genisis character mod?
-
it's not intended to be a crisis core mod cause i dont really want to edit the main story its more of a custom character mod like making a cloud in a dress or a sexy aerith/tifa in an evening gown hell even a turks mod where the animations fit the character model
or giving diferent enemy's a magic animation things like that
however im just playing with it atm if anyone
sorry if the inital screens got peoples hopes up but its not going to be a crisis core mod i am zack and is my mod about me lol JK but really its about fixing up the dodgy animations and doing some for fun
anyone know how to record FF7
edit: added question added ingame screeny to first post
-
I'm fairly sure FRAPS is the way to go for recording FF7
-
Vid up
OK now i have the begininngs of the attack animation for cloud with the gun anyone up for a test PM me at current only clouds first 2 weapons are set to guns so midgar or upto just before you get the hard edge PM me if interested
edit added vid in first post
edit 2 added text
-
oh i for a second there i thought you edited cloud's animation..but when i saw the vid cloud pounds his gun like a sword and does not shoot it.. anyway nice mod.. :-)
-
well thats an old vid i should really make one with the new attack animation shouldnt i
I'll do just that oh the beta has the simplfied attack animation too just so people know and the new dead animation however the current travel animation has yet to be changed
-
I've chosen a stance it's the concept art stance for CC
-
the last pic with the sword behind his the back, the others just don't suit him.
-
i believe the first stance looks best (sword planted in ground in front of him)
-
play/watch crisis core :P you'll see his posture plenty
-
edited first post hase new pic and a lil movie tell me what you think
-
If you don't want to move his legs, make his upper body movement a little slower and more exaggerated. Like taking deep breaths almost.
You can't be ready to battle and moving really fast but only moving your upper body
[/2cents]
-
i think i found the problem there the battle engine runs at 15 frames a second doesn't it the animation is currently at 11 frames and one breath a second does seem a bit fast maybe it would look closer at 20 frames
-
shouldnt he simply have the same battle stance as he did in crisis core?
whati think would be pretty awesome is if someone came up with a good model, animations, etc for Genesis and angeal
now that would be something (my opinion of course)
-
Yes, because we could have Sephiroth kill Genesis over and over again :-D
But I like the looks of this mod; it seems to be just how Zack would have looked if he'd had a battle model in FF7.
-
looks like he's leaning too far back, anyhow, you do need to move the legs, the feet will be planted, but you need a little bounce, otherwise it'll just seem wierd
