Which version of FF7 are you using and what's your OS. Is the main exe file named "ff7.exe"?

There is no .exe file, I got it from Eidos. Also it can't support the XP patch otherwise I just can't even start it (I would suspect it's because I have Windows 2000 not XP) but none the less it should work.

From this quote, I can tell that your ff7 crashes.

From this quote, I can tell that you have no clue what I was asking for.

Hmm... You're using Win2k, so:

This link (which covers running ff7 under Win2000 BTW) "could" be useful.

How is this relevant? Hmm... I have no idea.

Let me see if I got this right.

1. You have a problem with your game.
2. You ask for help on a forum.
3. dziugo is nice enough to respond, only asking you a few simple questions.

4. You obviously do not have the slightest clue what he is talking about.

5. You say you are running Windows 2000 as your operating system.  He gives you a link to a website with the title, "Final Fantasy 7 Windows 2000-HOWTO"
6. And this is your response.

For someone to be so ignorant not to know what the .exe file was, I doubt you could fix your problem even if dziugo gave you a picture tutorial.  The fact that you were so rude to him, I don't think you deserve the help that you have asked for.

EDIT: I know that dziugo has already stated what I have just said.  I just also wanted to voice my disgust for Kenizark's behavior.

Win2000 is the hardest OS to work with this game. And adding to the idea that your new to Windows....I'd say it's pretty hopeless.

With WinXP, I may be able to walk you thru.... as for Win2000.... that link is about the only help you're probably going to get and probably the best help.

And it looks like a pretty good, link...
May have to borrow that.

What do you mean 'back-up'? Is this a downloaded game? I don't even think it's possible to run ff7 (or any program at that matter) without some kind of executable file...

Also just out of curiousity, how did you "get it from Eidos?"
