EdeaS - Congrats!!!

Well, I guess I'm in the 'forgotten' ones~

I go by my nickname, StrayWings. I'm 14 years old now. Born and living in Malaysia, oh how I wished it would snow here  :(

Well, my hobbies are playing chess and playing FF7.  :D Just finished my Trial Exams today! Free! Free! Well, I still need to study for our BIG Exams this October (Well, at least I can relax a bit, for now)

There's nothing much interesting about me though, but I DO like writing. In fact, I entered the Semi-Finals for an International Poetry contest. The site:  http://www.poetry.com" TARGET=_blank>www.poetry.com  If I win, I can get the Annual Grand Prize worth US$10,000!, RM40,000 in my country and that's A LOT of money for a little boy like me to handle, my mom says keep some of it in the bank and get the interest  :D

I thought about including a picture since most of you guys did~ I'm not so handsome to look at, just your typical 'guy next door.'

My name is Tim Miller.  I live in Iowa.  That's right!  Iowa has HIGH SPEED access!  Not just unpaved roads!  Sorry, i'm a little bitter.  Anyway, i'm 14, going into High School in a week, & nervous that I won't be able to do advanced Geometry.  I want a   http://www.sunconure.com/photos/" TARGET=_blank>sun conure   very very badly, but i'm not going to get one because I don't want to have to leave it at home when I go off to college.  (Most colleges don't accept birds because they spread diseases to certain susceptible people.)  I love adventure games, shooters, RPGs (with plots only), online cartoons (PVP, Sinfest, etc.), and school (because I have friends there).  I also love the internet.  I am currently playing Tribes2, Giants, Myst III: Exile, and a pelortha of online games so I can be skilled for the monthly lan parties held in Iowa.  Oh, hell, I forgot!  I have a sense of humor, I'm a rabid democrat, and I LOVE TO READ!  YOU!  YEAH, YOU!  GO OUT AND BUY AND READ A COPY OF:

The Golden Compass by Phillip Pullman, and it's sequels (The Subtle Knife, The Amber Spyglass)

Harry Potter and the ______________
1)Sorcerer's Stone
2)Chamber of Secrets
3)Prisoner of Azkaban
4)Goblet of Fire
by J.K. Rowling
(I know, just don't give me hell for it!  Read!  They're fantastic!)

Rendezvous With RAMA by Arthur C. Clarke and Gentry Lee (and sequels:  Rama II, The Garden of Rama, and Rama Revealed)

2001:  A Space Odyssey  by Arthur C. Clarke (and sequels)

A Wrinkle In Time  by Madeline L'Engle (and sequels)

Those are the books that I think any Final Fantasy fan will enjoy.  Especially the Harry Potter series and The Golden Compass.  READ THEM!

Yeah the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman rules! But in the UK the first one isnt called The Golden Compass, it's called Northern Lights. But The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass are the same. EVERYONE READ THEM!!!

Interesting...  'Northern Lights', huh?
Well, all I know is that I want to direct movies for a career, and Rama II and The Golden Compass are on the top of my list.  (Harry Potter 1 was too, but DAMN warner bros., they beat me to it!!!  Ah, Well, it looks fantastic anyway.  Go d/l the SECOND TRAILER (first was crap) at movies.com!)

Anyone read the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan?

Yup. I'd count RJ as one of my favourite authors, though Wheel of Time is starting to drag on a little now (9 books and we're only *starting* to see the end of the series). Still very good, though.

I'd guess by your name that you've also read R.E.Feist, ne?

WARNING!!!  The below message is "Slamdifferous", the base word of that being 'slam'.  This is a word that expresses dissing and slamming in the extreme.  However, it is a jovial form of that.  So if you have a good sense of humor, read on!  If you're a republican, well, you can go soak your head.  It would probably be more pleasant than reading this.

Aruthra,  you know,  I have a good way to reduce carpal tunnel syndrome.  That is, don't type excess words.  To give an example, I noticed earlier that you wrote the name "Republican Conservative Christians".  You could eliminate two of those words;  "Conservative" and "Christian".  This is because they are pretty much a given.  Now we are left with "Republican".  If you want to really protect your wrists, you could replace that with "naughty" or "evil" or even "ick".  See what i'm saying?

And by the way-- isn't it funny how their faces get all purple and blotchy when you mention abortion?   :D
