So has anyone tried the game in Windows 8 yet?

I'm not sure if it'll work yet in Windows 8.. Minecraft doesn't work yet and this program i use crashes on the controller setup screen.

So my hopes of the game running on Windows 8 right now are very low. If no one has tried, I'll be doing so later today on my copy of windows 8.

I'm not gonna bother trying before there's a final release of windows 8 and at least one "patch up all the nonsense we broke" service pack for it

FF7 installs, but doesn't work at all not even with the remix patch.

This could be cause that there is no Opengl at all with the driver i'm using, and there's no update for it. >.>

I got lucky and got a driver that supports Opengl, Everything works but videos right now.

Edit:

FF7 PC run alright, i couldn't get the remix patch to work at all.

Lol.

But seriously folks, I'm sick of windows always having trouble doing this or that.  Hence my recent switch to Mint.  So far so good :)

debian ubuntu and mint can all use my ff7 tools repo (updated w/ hyne 1.5)

debian and mint users need to manually add the ppa to the sources list.

*buntu users can use the command sudo add-apt-repository ppa:sithlord48/ff7 to add it

personally i would use kubuntu (i do) or kde-mint as i just don't like gnome im more a kde person :D

the metro interface of win8 looks like a joke when compaired to "plasma active" the kde tablet interface. demo video here

need some linux help just let me know long time user..
