Crashes upon launching

Not sure what I am doing wrong. Could anybody help me on this?

Tried that and it only allows me to use the number pad as controls. Is it suppose to do that?

Yes that's normal. You'll have to change it manually once you're in game.

In the "Compatibility" settings of whichever .exe you're using (ff7.exe or ff7_bc.exe), enable the "Run at 640x480" flag.
