extract the files to desktop, right click on the setup file, and click on compatibility mode...change it to Win 98....I had this problem with my MGS2 disc...It wouldnt let me install, but putting the setup file in win 98 compat mode work fine. Try it....It might work.

Come to think of it...I never remember getting more than one of an item from an enemy at once....But i do remember getting the same item twice from an enemy when stealing from it.
