Few minutes of game and I'm totally captured from the Midgar world, good job Caledor.
May I ask if the graphical "Miss" in combat will be translated in "Mancato"? I remember in the italian scene of modding someone got already this to work.
Cheers,
Kuraudo.
Don't say that! It is still possible to annoy me many many more times :p
Here's an updated link.
However, Italian is actually a language for which there already is a translation (of the current version of AF). TheFF8Fan was able to translate everything all by himself, and even added a couple of scripted sequences.

2) You need to add custom translated texts in the "Environment" -> "Texts" panel. Look at the texts already in place for the text format (the dialog conventions may also differ from one language to the other, like the english dialogs using “” and a space at each new line). The added texts which are related to Beatrix can be found in the following file (append ".txt" to the URL). Since it contains spoilers of my mod, don't dare to read it for non-translation puprose ! Else, I'll get to come to your house and remove your memories of this file 'manually' from your head.

About the "Spells" panel: yes, the Magic Swords are in there as well, but they are spread around. Most of them are next to Dagger's summons and Flare/Doomsday are at the end of the list.
About the "Localization" field, yes I noticed that. As strange as it appears, it's not a bug from HW but that's how the latest Steam version texts are (they were correctly set in the previous Steam versions). Don't bother.
Thanks usb
Yeah, I thought that they fixed that bug, but apparently not. It doesn't concern only Italian but also French and Spanish. The bug lies in the CIL method "BattleHUD::SetBattleCommandTitle" but it's a bit tricky to fix it there with HW.
What you can do though is bypass the bug: go to the "Interface" panel, select the "Battle Spell Naming" field and add 13 entries to it (right-click -> Add), then write the proper full names ("Colpo Fire" etc...). Finally, go to the "Party -> Spells" panel and change the casting names of the magic swords spells to the entries that you just added.
It's a bit dirty as a fix, but it works. You should also translate the names in the "Interface" panel if you want it to work for all the languages (I think the game would crash in non-italian language otherwise).
For info, you can have up to 62 custom spell names in that interface field.
change the casting names of the magic swords spells to the entries that you just addedunder spells panel there are only the basic magic and not the magic swords (they are under special). if i change the vivi magic when Vivi cast Fire magic it will be shown as Colpo Fire but the magic sword is still wrong

Hi usb.
I tried to send you a private message but i couldn't (you might want to check your settings) so i hope to reach you through this.
I'm an italian modder too and i've tried for the past few years to fully retranslate FF7 using DLPB's Beacause. You can easily find your my project searching for "caledor ff7" on google. The only thing left to do for me is to translate dialogues so yeah, i've already adjusted every window that required a fix and among them there was the shop menu one. Please reach out to me, either through PM here or trough my project page.
That's not relevant to this tool. It's not a fault with this tool.
