I meant load the TNT patch like this:
Copy config file into FFVII directory. Then config the game.
Then copy EXE file into directory.

As for the Detonator 650s you can get them here: http://www.guru3d.com/download/" TARGET=_blank>http://www.guru3d.com/download/
Remember though there DirectX 7 drivers so dont go trying to run any shiney DX8 apps now will you?

Good luck.

one big prob tho
the detonator 650 dont support GeForce 3 tho!
i need to find a solution quick or im gonna send it back  :) no point having a card that works crap with old games.
by the way whats the best GeForce 3 settings for EPSXE? cos then theres big texture misalignement! how do i fix that? i tried changing the texel alignment but no good, and also the FSAA doesnt seem to have a big effect on epsxe and dont work in ff7.

Anyway, what's good of using 650 dets? (It really doesn't matter couse they do not support geforce 2mx400). I'm just using whql12.41 detonators with dx8a and it is working fine with ff7v1.02 (didn't have any problem installing or configuring it) There are no cracks in game and all the game looks just like it does on 3dfx voodoo cards (I mean - nice)...

FFVII has been known to work on other dets but you are most liley to have succes with the 650 dets. Skillster GeForce 3 will run the 650 dets but..all your DirectX 8 crap wont be there.
Try it. Worst that could happen is you mess up the dirvers and that is easy to fix.

i did
i had to umistall the newer drivers
remove the inf file
then reinstall the detonators 650
what happend was there was no Geforce3 in the drivers list, so i went for GTS and Ultra both had messed up Geforce display control panels it was impossible to set any options in there

Ah, but ive given it back  :P
it kept crashing in unreal tournement, plus the FSAA didnt work all the time.
so for half the price i got a Geforce2Pro (creative) its probably only 1/5 slower then Geforce3 at normal resolutions (640*480>1024*768).
but i also got a bargain PC tower unit only
a 1ghz athlon machine for only 225£  :P great or what. its got a TNT2 64 which runs ff7 great from wot i see.
so i might retire the old Ati Rage fury and put the TNT in the older machine and then plug the Geforce 2 in this new machine,
trying it in a moment, fingers crossed for compatibility with FF7! or ill have to go to ATI or Voodoo (if i ever find one!).

The Geforce2Pro IS good
and the FSAA works :P
tried it with the start screen of ff7,
there are little lines under neath the text
the detonators are630
ill try 650 today
heh, the universal detonator driver system meant i didnt even have to click a button after inserting the G2pro into the system as the drivers were already there for the tnt2  :P

Yeah that's why I say to use 6.50 drivers for all the FF PC games (all two of them  :D). I've notice grid problems with the 6.3x (was it 5? or 0?) I've tried a couple of the beta's, can't remember what numbers. They gave me problems, too. So I just use the official driver for better or worst.

Hey, tell me if you get it to work, I'm seriously about to buy a GeForce 3 and I don't want it if its not compatible with this game.

Havent installed FFVII yet but by the look of Max Payne and Giants I wont regret buying the GF3 even if FFVII dosent work. I will try it when Ficedula releases his latest patch. Its a great excuse!

FFVII is working fine on my Elsa GeForce 3!
It was working with out the TNT patch to in hardware mode. But the text was a little distored so I just used the TNT patch any way.

GeForce Pro is still a great card any way.
Hey Skillster might your GeForce 2 pro be a hercles one with the DVD Software and Driver cd strangely missing by any chance? Heh. *wipes brow*.

heh, close call  :P
mines was a used Creative Geforce2 Pro  :)
149.99 which was ok,
it works excellent so i saved myself 1/2 the price (mayeb even more) of the elsa gladiac920 (Gf3).
only bugger is this version of Creative card doesnt come with creatives custom drivers with blaster control (higly acclaimed control panel software).

Oh..phew.
You know there was nothing wrong with that Geforce 2 pro I returned? I found out it was a setting in the Bios causeing the crashes!
Not the GeForce 2 at all. What a shame now I have this GeForce 3...oh well. *kicks Atholn 650* Still on the hunt for a 1 ghz slot a..

But any way. Cant you get all that blaster controll stuff from there website? That hercles card had some tweaking stuff that you could get from there site. I'm pretty sure creative carrys it any way.

Good luck finding it though.

Ah, well I just got a job (roughly $100/week for 4 hours/day) and I think I know where my first $300 is going... :-p

GeForce 3... you think Elsa is the way to go?  Or is there another good company who makes them?

Elsa is goo.d IT overclocks decently AND you get the special version of Giants with it  :D

But the sort of place to ask what GF3 to get it here if you can be bothered: http://www.hardware-pacers.com/cgi/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi" TARGET=_blank>http://www.hardware-pacers.com/cgi/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi

Good board that.
