Hi guys it's me again!
This mod will replace the Ragnarok by a weapon called "Masamune V2". Description : "Recreation of a legend, piercing". And that it is, it uses the same model as Sephiroth masamune but has 8 slots, some better stats and the property to break through the enemies defense. I thought about how to make this weapon useful without surpassing the Ultima Weapon totally and thought of this to make both weapons different but equally potent. The Ultima Weapon can deal alot more damage thanks to the damage multiplier of up to 3 but agains enemies like Ruby weapon there is no real equivalent to Bahamut/Kotr or overpowered Vincent/Barret attacks.

Now there is: the Masamune V2 deals standard damage, is NOT always critical like Sephs(so luck is still there for something) but will ignore the enemy defense unlike any other weapon. So fighting against Ruby weapon this is a good alternative to the cheap attacks we're used to.

The model of the Ragnarok will live on though, the Apocalypse enherites it (I needed a BIG slot) while the Ragnarok itself will vanish. Means the red christmas tree is gone and the Masamune is added. The weapon is obtained the same way as usual, storywise beating Proud Clod. Imagine it storywise like Shinra reforged the ultimate weapon and supplied their highest rank weapon development staff with it. (Remember we beat Scarlett and Heidegger in this battle).

IMPORTANT:
If you're planning to use this along with my “Better Models“ patch and you chose the version that modifies Cloud as well make sure you download the corresponding version of this patch and apply it to an ISO that has the most current version of “Better Models“ already installed!
Make sure when you update ppf patches that you start over with a fresh ISO.

The supplied ppfs can be applied to all 3 discs.

This mod equips the Buster Sword on Clouds back in the Fields.

The mod is available in two colors: Standard and the one you see in the screenshot. The colored version changes Clouds Model the same way as my Field model mod. Also my eyecolor mod is applied in this Screenshot this mod however will only put the Buster Sword on Clouds back.
Unfortunately this mod will only work properly if you have my 16 parts patch installed which is currently only available for the German version:
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=14676.0

Im working on a solution for the other Discs and NTSC version! Still you can apply this to an Iso and extract the Cloud.BCX to get your hands on the model. Unfortunately because of copyrights I cant supply the Cloud.BCX myself.

IMPORTANT:
If you wanna use this along with my Field model patch use the "No Cloud version". If you already patched your ISO with my or any other mod that changes Cloud.BCX make sure you flush that file by inserting a standard Cloud.BCX (you get from a fresh iso) using a program like cdmage or cdprog BEFORE using this patch. A ppf applies changes so if your Cloud.BCX is different than mine when I created the patch Cloud.BCX will get destroyed.

The supplied ppf can be applied to all 3 discs.

This mod changes the Field models and world models and battle models colors. This way I change their outfits/haircolor to make them look less weird and a little AC inspired. Also it fixes Cids hair to be blonde instead of grey and RedXIII is actually red now. In case you modded or wanna mod the main character otherwise I also supplied a No Cloud verison, means Clouds model stays the way it was before the application of the ppf.

Ever wondered everyone in the game said that Cloud had those "glowing eyes" although they just look all normal ? This mod changes Clouds Eye color somewhat closer to the one of Sephiroth but leaves eyebrows and the shape of his eyes untouched.

Troubleshooting / FF7 PSX recognizing Disc number
« on: 2013-09-20 12:03:49 »
Hi does anyone know how the game tells which of the 3 discs is put into the console ? I tried swapping the elf files and system.cnf and even changed the table of contents so the elf file will have the exact same name as the one of another disc. Still I could not get rid of "Please insert Disc 1" when starting a new game with my modded cd2.

The reason Im asking this should be clear: When I compile a mod that is alot of work i wanna be done applying it to CD1 and creating a ppf patch. The next step is applying cd2 and cd3 patches to my modded disc. Anyone ?

This is a mod release for the PSX version of Final Fantasy 7. What it does is overhaul the game to expect a 16 part Field Model from Cloud except for the standard 15 part model and fix all issues and bugs this usually causes as for example parts of Cloud not showing up or texture garble and even game crashes appearing. This gives a modder more options to extend Clouds Field model like equipping the Buster Sword to him or totally replace him by Zack/Sephiroth.

The mod does not apply the Field model changes shown in those Screenshotsl. Those I made myself just to demonstrate what this mod enables you to do which you normally cant. It is a modders resource so feel free to use it for your own graphical mods. When you apply the ppf patch to a fresh iso all that it does is tell the game to load 16 parts from Cloud that means if you install this and use a 15 part Model for Cloud it may cause alot of trouble so be aware of what you are doing!!
After applying this mod all you have to do is insert your field model into Cloud.BCX and all parts should show up properly and cause no garbage to the game.

The supplied ppf can be applied to all 3 discs.

Unfortunately as for now this was done for the Pal German version so I can not ensure this will work with other versions. I will soon prepare this file for the NTSC-U version as well however this will take a while unless someone comes up with a great idea how to update the whole FIELD folder on the iso at once.

Gameplay / FF7 PSX Mass ISO update (SOLVED)
« on: 2013-09-18 12:33:49 »
Hello everyone I have compiled a patch for the PSX version of FFVII that will allow the use of a 16 part Field model for Cloud. This way Cloud can easily be replaced by Sephiroth or Zack or a Cloud wielding the buster sword on his back.

The only problem is the fact that I had to mod all BSX/DAT files at once which means I have 1400 patched files that I wanna get into the ISO somehow. Currently Im inserting them manually 1 by 1 using CDProg but it really is super boring and takes ages.

Does someone have a solution to Mass update the FIELD folder ? This way I could quickly release this patch for multiple versions as a modders resource.

UPDATE

This tool does the job:

This patch removes the damage cap for the PSX versions of Final Fantasy VII.
What this does is obvious: You can deal more than 9999 damage per hit and up to 32000 damage.

Hi guys after learning for a few days here on the forums  and posing some
pointless questions :-P Im pretty close now to releasing my first mods Ive been
working on for some weeks.

I really worked myself quite well into Field editing and scripting but I just cant seem
to find how the Master Materia works. I want to write a new script for a violet materia
but first I must understand how they work. On every materia in the game  I found simple
triggers, Add Noxy materia but just not here.

It displays the dialogue "Same color as Summon materia" even the dialogue box "Master Summon added" but the script just does not add it? I used the search function but no use.
Also I could not find the script removing all other materia. WHO CAN HELP ?
