General Discussion / Re: [REL] The Reunion

After some testing yesterday with Covarr, I can confirm that Steam FF7 exe is compatible with Beacause: The Retranslation Project, and all other mods except Menu Overhaul.  I will be adding Steam support for R02.

Great news! Thank you, guys! That means we can keep achievements and the rest, right? Too bad I'll be busy with my law exams for the whole month, I have a huge urge to play now :D

Yeah, this is it! Big thanks to you and the rest for helping me out, I already solved this problem thanks to the hints in the topic you posted.

Bombing mission is supposed to play during first boss fight.  It always has, even on PSX.

Well, way to make an idiot out of myself >_>
I was sure that this is the first time when boss theme kicks in, but it looks like my memory has failed me.

Aali, I don't want to bother you, but do you have any idea why I'm getting those sound buffer errors?

4
Well, I'm not sure what is happening anymore, in addition to my previous problem with sound buffer error I mentioned earlier, the game plays bombing mission .ogg during first boss fight, no idea if those are related:0

My setup is Steam version converted with FFVII game converter and of coruse your newest custom driver. I just ran the game to test it out, so I can't tell too much about the pattern.  Sound buffer error seems to show up after and/or during FMV's (Cloud looking at Mako Reactor, intro etc.) but audio seems to work alright. Also, UNEXPECTED: zero count error makes the game stutter for a second when it appears, and it also does so during FMV's, for example when Cloud looks at the Mako Reactor at the beginning or during the game intro (but it's probably irrelevant since you and DLPB already explained what's going on with this error)

Any idea why I'm getting errors like:
"UNEXPECTED: zero count" and "ERROR: couldn't lock sound buffer"
The game seems to work okay, but those errors are worrying, what do they mean?

Fantastic job! I was waiting on pins and needles for this mod, it's a huge milestone in modding FFVII and I'm sure that info about this release will be soon all over the internet. Few years back I didn't expect that someone would successfully fix this flawed translation and you guys did (and are still doing) an outstanding job with your careful and thoughtful approach.

Just one question - as far as I know it isn't possible to install this on the Steam version and keep achievements, clouds saves and such, right? It requires converting with one of the tools posted in this forums?

Hey, I gotta little question. FF VII Remix have a patch that fixes flickering materias. Where can I download separate patch that will fix the flickering?

On the site about FF7 modding, www.finalfantasy7pc.com
Well, so by asking that you mean Highwind is broken and it's causing that problem? Well, in that case what other tool can you recommend for me?

Hey guys, I'm new here
Well, I've got a problem. No matter which .lgp file I will try to extract, I'm getting a lot lesser files extracted that there should be. I mean that for example Highwind 1.21 is saying that there are 5.5k of files to be extracted, but after extracting there are only about 3K. What the hell :o
Also the folder size with extraced files is smaller than .lgp file.
So my question to you guys, why is that happening and how can I fix it. It's my first day modding FFVII and this thing is really bugging me.
