I have error messages said "An Unknown Exception Error Has occurred"
That why I'm asking for a guide, or maybe someone tells me why that error pub up, all that I have done is unpacked the zzz files using ffviii_demaster_manager, which is creating a file inside
my FFVIII Remaster and my not on C:\\
is in this location D:\Games\FINAL FANTASY VIII REMASTERED
So I replaced video files with the ones you provided in this post((Thanks for your job))
and when I click on FFVIII_LAUNCHER.exe it gives me the error message
and there is no way to play the game again without uninstalling the game and reinstalling it
So my question is how can I apply the changes without any problems
sounds like your NOT using the latest version of the game...
(pirated releases are all based on the launch version i would assume, and thus unless you actually get the game, the DEMASTER code by MAKI will keep crashing... since important changes happened to the game that MAKI had to workaround...)

oh you only need that tutorial pdf if you are making the modpacks pretty much... also it's a bit outdated already, since the demaster code got updated over time by maki... and if you still want it try grabbing the first public release of that tool...
basically once the main.zzz + other.zzz are unpacked and the game has the mod to run in extracted mode... locating the orig FMVs is quite easy, then you only need to backup and replace with the desired upgrades...

There are more than a couple like this, and it's intentional.  For reasons unknown, SE didn't create all their FMVs in the same ratio, so depending on the source, we've seen 3:2, 4:3, 16:9, and I think one other pretty odd one.
Xeno said Cropped, but meant the video ends early...  i hadn't noticed it until then... sorry about that...
i've uploaded the replacement already... enjoy!

FMVs Up-scaled + Color-adjusted by KLITLIKA

Original PC (2000) FMVs were... 640x448
-> Extracted the .PNG images + .WAV audio for every FMV...
->> Up-scaled the .PNG using Waifu2x-caffe (UpPhoto) 4x with lvl 3 Denoise...
->>> EQed Audio for every FMV... (only 2 silent ones)
->>>>Created each FMV again using the new .PNG + EQed Audio... 

tried to fix/improve Aspect ratio issues... also all black bars (grey) have been removed from the actual FMVs to maximise FMV Enjoyment

* Reshade is highly recommended to zoom in to get rid of the top/bottom black bars...
(& can be used to force 16:9 / 21:9 Cropped/Stretched for those that want that...)

hi, can you share with us the modding program or the modded files that allow to access the debug room ? with that we will be finally able to get ride of the psx version were the debug mode were more accessible even for us
v5 has been shared since btw... but on PC the debug room FMV viewing for eg will still only do disc 1... yet i doubt the psx version's has that issue...

Yes, that bug is kinda embarrassing. At some point I thought it was fixed but apparently it's still there.

What version are you using? I didn't think it was still possible in 11B.
ideas for future updates...
adding Ability Slot #0, #1 etc next to each one... will make things a bit faster...
also still need the enemy list updated to help differentiate between some of the enemies that appear more then once...
along with that, i've also noticed a few enemies where AI edit meant having to change code to get it to save...
also curious about death animations options, as giving certain bosses a simple death, means we can free up an extra ability slot... or give them a death move etc... pretty fun, but more documentation on us making these edits would be great...
even just changing things like "target" 204 / 201 etc... planning to continue my own testing regardless but thx for your time reading this...

Is it normal for vehicles in towns to still be in low res version? Do they use different textures than the ones in the world map?
yes, some are pixelated blobs that are a part of the background images pretty much...
lotsa photoshop etc work to do for the ones that can be hidden via hidden certain layers before the initial export + file conversion... "Remastered" is still using stock field.fs for now...

Disc 1 - 4 are being tested gradually (ps more Testers Welcome) Bug Reports Via Discord Plz...
HUGE update to this should be uploaded by the time you read this... same link as before...
ended up going for even more changes in one go, should be worth the wait...
this time the main.zzz is small but will need to be merged using "zzzDeArchive"

right, many attacks in my mod should already include that... as with any new mod though testing is needed... also joining the qhimm discord can help with allot of extra info for anyone reading this...
also the best/easiest way to share screenshots etc for bug reports when those do eventually come up...

if however you just wanted to mod a few things... learning to use the tools "Deling" (to replace the file inside the main.fs) & "Doomtrain" (to edit it) would already allow you to make massive game changes to the kernel.bin...

VIII "Remastered" - Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

Better Variety for Random Battles... (scene.out)

Re-balancing of Enemy Attack Power... (kernel.bin) (many changes to status effects, Eden is 50% likely to cause Sleep)

Enemy/Boss Stats + AI Improvements... (enemy .dat files)
(Gradually doing more of these in no particular order)

Enemy/BOSS LVLs uncapped (BOSS IFRIT goes higher then lvl 6, etc) ... (enemy .dat files)

Damage Limit of 9999 removed (60,000 DMG is new cap)(kernel.bin)
(HP kept at 9999 as you can't see 5 digits in battle, only status screen... no 32,000 HP for now...)

Junctioning System Re-balanced... (kernel.bin)
(eg: New Magic to Junction + harder to absorb all elements too early on etc, greater need to make choices but also better variety)
(many more Elemental + Status Att+def Junction options)

Debug Rooms Shortcut via Balamb Garden's Training Center...

V8 = many major bugs Fixed (some minor still WIP) Hoping the end of Disc 1 and Disc 2 are all good now...

V9, same link as before... Imp revamp + Many Fixes... also try out Carbuncle ;)

V10 : MAJOR CITY/FIELDs BUG GONE, Ultimecia's Speech Retranslation (Disc 4)

V11, Hundreds of Battles Edited (need testing) + many fixes as usual... also now includes some bonus files like the Splashscreen skip etc...

V12 - Changes to starting equipment + GFs Revamped (needs New Game to take effect)...

V13, V14 ,v15 many Bugs fixed, changes to starting equipment + battles...

V25 (yes already, many changes since mostly additions to battles / ai / fixes)

V26 - 28 more fixes + trying out some Draw Point changes along with more GFs available early then ever before... (thought all GFs are LVL1 when you get them)

V29 - V34 ... Gayla etc should be working again along with many boss tweaks and also tweaks to Starting equipment + GF Abilities...

On the way to Galbadia Garden (forest Encounter after getting off the train) - Mobs: Cockatrice , fungar, fungar battle  causes time to stop using a soft item on petrify, prevents the battle from progressing and cannot run.
v32 is uploading, but now i realize your bug report was the main one i haven't yet done... so i'll test the Funguar's out asap for v33 soon hopefully...

what did he fix on this mod for v27 of this mod

v27 had allot of small fixes that had been shared through the qhimm discord page "KLIT's MODS" mainly with the people helping me test specific enemies etc...

there is still allot to do / more hours of retesting certain things ...
and more experimenting with AI... if i want to improve fights like ODIN for eg...
atm he is reported to be broken... i did succeed in giving him real Battle AI but when i did that his textures broke...
so one of the tools needs an update before i can that again...
otherwise we're limited to him SPAMMING 1 move after a certain amount of time...
(or freezing after doing it once maybe if it doesn't wipe the party)  if i change it at all...
so maybe just stock Odin AI + boosted stats... i guess for now would be ideal...
