Sorry for the repost, but still looking for an answer. I have a bootleg folder on my desktop with many GB of mods. After installing bootleg to my FF7 directory, can I remove the bootleg folder from my desktop, or does the FF7 installation rely on this folder? (In other words, during bootleg install, are the mods copied to the FF7 directory?). I'd like to free up some space if possible.

Thanks!

Sorry! I meant to answer this when I read it but somehow it didn't happen. So long as you're satisfied with the game, you can delete the mods.

Just performed a fresh re-install of ff7 with bootleg 0040, but the game crashes at the first video at the beginning, with no explication. Someone could help if I can find my log crash ?
ps : On my previous install, all worked perfectly.

Edit : re-reinstalled, problem solved :D
An other question : what does I have to do to keep Aerith in the game after her death ? checking since the begginning of the game the 'Aerith revival' in the bootloader ?
Beacause on my precedent installation, I checked it only after her death, and I never could have her in my game anyway..

Yes, I believe it needs to be installed and checked at the beginning.

If you have installed the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack, this might help:

Start -> all Programms -> K-Lite Codec Pack -> Configuration -> LAV Splitter

remove the check mark for "avi" inside the Tab "Input Formats"

And have you seen this?

WARNING: 0:19: warning(#62) enable/warn/disable extension is not found. Extension "GL_ARB_framebuffer_object" is not supported
Maybe turn off shaders...

Having an Issue, I have played almost half way through the game using bootleg with no problems.. now I tried to continue on, I click on FF7 BootLoader like I always have and click play FF7 it mounts the mirror then opens a Bios Black screen (all normal) then it instantly closes out.. and does nothing.. worked flawlessly before dunno what happened..

an error will flash very fast that says somthing to the effect of ERROR: No sound driver is available for use in FILE: (then gives a files path..)

Not sure where else to post this question, I just passed the point where Yuffie should return all of your materia, and the ONLY one I got back was MP absorb - none of the others were returned. Do I have something enabled that I shouldn't?

I'm in the exact same situation as you bro, she hasn't given back my materia and I don't know what to do...

Hellll nooo! The only reason i'm playing this again (aside from the Mods) is so that I can get and do evrything I didn't the first time I played it.
Defeat all the Weapons
collect all the Items
Level up the characters properly
Find all the hidden secrets
Collect all the Materia

This really is annoying having all of your Materia stolen after doing so well in the game, i'm certainly not going to be using the mods again if I can't fix it.

Can you guys post me your Brat code please. It's found in the Installation tab of BFE. Make sure before you copy/paste the code that all the options are chosen that you had installed during the Yuffie materia issue.

Here you go:

01011601030000000010111101111004210201222141151201112

I think that was more or less it, I selected all the options I had installed during the Yuffie Materia issue.
The thing is I can't get the Materia back even if I choose different options as I have re-installed at least 3 times while choosing different options.

This materia business isn't the first issue I've had on this bootleg playthrough and I can list more if it would be helpful but this is def the first showstopper. In the meantime, will I run into any trouble using the black chocobo save editor to manually re-add my materia?

So do you think it can be fixed? Or is there a way to hack materia in my inventory to make up for the ones I lost?

Just downloading it now, what is it? How does it work if you don't mind me asking.

It's a save file editor it allows you to well make changes to nearly anything you want in the game.
Like if you want the ultima weapon from the start you can or of you want all materia's to your inventory or make the all mastered or access all weapons, items and the quantity, change character stats etc or skip story ahead or back or make all chocbos golden etc you can,

you can read more about Black Chocobo here:

Zacharias, would you mind uploading your most recent save before encountering Yuffie? Black Chocobo is great, but I'd like to test this myself to fix it rather than just working around it.

So I hit another roadblock. Beginning of disc 2, right before you get to the crater/whirlwind maze there's a section with 4 giant icicles to fight. After the first fight it gives me the choice to stay or jump down like it should, but after beating the second one there's no dialogue box and it automatically makes me jump down.

EDIT: Nm, I WAS able to pass it - but only by choosing the bottom option "Jump down to the room below? -> Yes" after each fight which lets me stay up and keep fighting the icicles. Translation mistake maybe?
