Support / Ripping the FFVII Battle Models

I was using Biturn to rip some FFVII battle models and they come out all weird (https://imgur.com/lWRb0mU) even though smooth shading is on.
It seems to only happen with the battle models and not the field models.

Support / How can I get the slash attack effect textures?

I couldn't get WayMarket (https://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=7928.0) to open the KERNEL.bin file which I assume the textures are in based on the wiki (I've checked in battle.lgp and char.lgp and they're not there either).
