Since I am utterly starting over, I thought it would be appropriate to start a new thread.
 

Well i put a lot of work into my new chibi.....
Of course it is only cloud again.
And yes.. this is just the battle model...
obtained from the PRP (NPC RP) mod.
 

I have worked on the arms and shoulders and the eyes.. so please only give feed back on those parts for now.

APZ your work is amazing, and i am a fan of your Chibi style.
Could you please post some reference shots of your Cloud chibi..
like you did on the first page, of the KH cloud, because i want to make detailed chibis, quite like yours.

Does Kimera support vertex editing.
Because, that would save me the trouble of taking the models into MAX.

i am not sure if this is the right place to ask... but..
when i pull the char models from the char. LGP (PRP/ NPC RP)
Many of the models are missing textures.. such as their face, or is zack's case his belt.
I do not know what is causing this.. cause a lot of the models also HAVE their  textures..

it puzzles me, because the textures just up and disappear..
I can't find them with the new kimera either...

Alright. I have started on a mod, that converts all the tall models into chibis.
I have made some adjustments in kimera... and then pulled it out into 3DS. Max.
I altered it heavily, and now i am trying to convert it back to the P. File Format.

The only issue is, i cut up  the model...
and tried to put the head in PCreator...
i will not read it...

It says the file name at top, but it will not allow me to use the files here:



the head shows up.. but i can't touch it.. cause i can't access the file i put in.. with the drop down thingy i have circled a bove


and here is a pic of the head in max..

I have been messing with the models in MAX and Kimera..
I am wondering..
If anyone knows how to set the lighting in MAX...

Since back when i was "porting models' (no longer doing that...) I the CC model I had was fully textured.. so i could just use vertex lighting..

but now that i am using the Cloud from here(the PRP project)... the only textures he possesses is his eyes and belt..

I am wondering how i can make the lighting better in MAX.. so i can see what i am doing better, make it look like the in game model if possible... and show some better screen shots.

I can always convert the 3DS. File back to kimera.. but i am sort of bad at cutting up the model at the moment..... I am learning!
 

 

Also..

i don't  know why this is happening, but when  i pull the models from the field lgp..
many of their textures just up and disappear..
For example, my vinny has no face...  

Which makes me very sad.. cause he is sooooo cute, when you chibify him... I just can't find his face..... xD

The textures don't show up in kimera.. and when i use the new one... (kimera 9?)... i click apply texture.. and its not in the folder...

More W.I.Ps I am going to edit them all once I get all the characters into chibi format (all the main and sub characters that is.. i am not sure when i will get around to the NPCs such as the shop owners and such) i will then edit the in max or blender.























I am going to edit all these models in MAX when i can..
I rather dislike Tseng's neck.. and his head is too small.. but i can't edit them separately in kimera..
So we all just have to wait until MAX


So just wondering.. is there anyone out there who is has a fair amount of knowledge about making/altering and applying textures.. who happens to be a chibi fan, that is willing to help?
cause some of the faces on these models... and some of the details are lacking..
and i don't have the skill to do it right..

And i need to learn how to import models into the game... if i take them out of kimera.. i am somewhat lost..

Some of the taller models.. didn't convert to Chibi too well..
but i have to say.. my favorite is Elena.. in this batch.
