Yeah, I used a walkthrough in parts of Xenogears when I got lost.
Xenogears is a very story driven RPG, so it would be less of a tazersty to cheat or use a walkthrough.

Lord Kane: I think he was just trying to correct your spelling.

Anyway, FF7 was the first RPG I played, and I used a very vague walkthrough for that. It had like 4 lines for whole sections of the game, which didn't spoil the game.

I've actually used pretty in-depth walkthroughs for FF8 and FF9, simply because I'm too lazy to figure it out myself, plus you don't end up missing a bunch of stuff out. Strangely enough though, I only used a walkthrough for one tiny bit on Xenogears, I couldn't figure a part out or something, but I was pretty proud after completing that by myself. :D

I like Mirex's opinion... I like to try to beat the game without a walkthrough, and then [if its a good game] complete it again later with a walkthrough so you can make sure you finish all side-quests, get all secret items and spells, and don't miss anything cool, etc.

Problem is, its so tempting to look at a walkthrough when you're stuck... but often I can just stare at the problem long enough to figure out what to do.

I agree, I like that feeling of accomplishment...
Beat the game go to bookstore & read a walkthrough ^^;
I remember Myth (DVD version), almost took me 2 years!

Thanks... (Most of you probably don't know that I've been out of town for Thanksgiving)

[Edit] Whoops, misspelled "quote" in that tag...
