Attack While you Have a Limit Break?

I've been browsing the forums for a way to do this with no luck so far.

Is there a way to patch the game so that when a character's limit bar is full, they can still use the attack command? After a while it can get irritating when trying to keep a full limit bar for a boss when you just want to hold in [OK] to get through battles.

Wouldn't it be better if the way to use a limit was a bit more like the style of Final Fantasy 8, where you hold in

, and then select it?

Can it be done?

I'm afraid it's not a simple edit. After all, that would be changing the way the game handles battles.

use deathblow or an attack as well+command combo or mug.  or magic!

That's what I do.

And isn't ff8 only triggered in certain conditions and the keypress is kind of a bonus way to get it going ?

What's wrong with how you use limit breaks? Just use a deathblow, mug, or added attack materia. If you have slash-all on your character, you should also have deathblow, mug, or added attack because it's always good to have the option of attacking only one enemy. You'd equip these materia also because it's always nice to have the option of attacking instead of using a limit break.

I'm just thinking about what its like to play through from the beginning without all that materia, it always bugged me that there wasn't an option for a normal physical attack when a limit bar was full.

It would be nice if it was like FFX, in when your limit (Overdrive) gauge is full, attack is still there, you just push right, to select it.

It's an option, not forced upon you.
