WIP / [FF8-R] Squall Hair Remodel Progress
« on: 2020-05-29 10:53:55 »

I've made some progress in remodeling that god awful sasuke hair of Squall in the remaster to something that is more resembling to the OG Squall.
In making this progress, i extracted the battle model file using Noesis app. The model file type is in .fbx format. Blender is used to import the model and made some changes to the vertices. Vertices count remain the same.

Now, the stumbling block is to export the edit model back to the .dat file and then battle.fs file. Any pointers?

Amazing work!!
How did you get the text alpha to work properly? Mine kept giving terrible outlines for some reason.

Thanks Mcindus!
I designed everything using Inkscape in vector format and export in its default png format.

I believe if using photoshop or raster format app, it might not play well with the alpha channel on the anti-aliased edge.

Maybe using remove white/black matte option might work.

Hey thanks :) Glad you enjoy it.
Recently discovered demaster mod, so now i've added 2048 texture pack.

I would love to use your card border in my most recent Tripod: Remastered release as one of the border options - would that be ok?  I wanted to release the mod tonight and have already integrated your card borders as a test in one of my packs. If not, just let me know, and I'll use the borders I have available to me for the Character cards.

Thanks!  I love your work!

Sure!
Im currently working on the rest of the TT gui, hope you might be interested in for future update.

hello!
Im new here.
Im quite excited when i heard the news of FF8 remaster but pretty bummed out by the lazy amount of work put into it by the dev.
So heres my rendition of the triple triad card for character card frame which i hope it stays true with the original work and art direction of TT.
