Hmmm I can understand that...

Oh well, it's just an opinion I guess. The pink pants look like granny pants lol.

Quick comment... Aeris' pink pants kinda throw the style off.

I think black pants would be better off.

But of course, your mod, your stuff. Just a comment.

I knew it was an easy fix...

Thanks friend. Worked easily.

I want to run FF7 in a window that I can make full screen, but have the option to make smaller.

Part of this is so I can multi-task if need be, and keep my screen resolution the correct size.

I don't know what to do in the ff7 gl files, so can someone help me out with this simple noob problem?

Okay, I beat Schizo...

Gold Dragon, so far I know Lazer works against him so that must mean gravity works against him.

Edit: Figures, he was easy once I figured out how his status effects worked...

So... Jenova Death. I am going to have to look up a few things on how to take out this son of a bitch. Worked me good the first time.

General Discussion / Re: Which first; Crisis Core or FF7

FF7 then forget that anything else was written.  That's the ultimate experience.

This.

The compilation of FF7 has absolutely ruined the original story...

Genesis was never needed, Angeal was never needed, the pre-avalanche BS (i.e. Elfe and etc.) was never needed, DoC was never needed.

They have taken certain plot elements and boosted their significance to unneeded and unwarranted proportions.

So, I just got to Schizo... It took him several turns, but he finally beat me.

His fire attack just completely takes out my barrier... asshole.

Strategies?

I am stuck in Gaia's Cliff lol, the ice sickles... sicles... icicles... whatever.

Anyway I can't beat those guys without almost dying and I just can't make it. I am currently getting everyone's limits and getting Cloud leveled up as well as everyone else. Cloud is level 62 right now.

So the hardcore patch should be the last one... okay. Thanks.

Here's a question.

I plan to install 1.02, Aali's graphics, Phoenix Rejuv., and Team Avalanche's mod in that order.

At what point should I install the hardcore patch to avoid conflict.

88
I might be wrong on a few of them but I believe it's something like this:

scene.bin contains enemy AI.
kernel.bin contains spell/weapon/item names and character info.
kernel2.bin contains spell/weapon/item names and character info. (I don't know what the difference is)
battle.lgp contains models used in battle.
flevel.lgp contains field dialogue.

I'd like to know for sure...

It'll definitely aid me in the future.

89
So... what do these main files do?

Scene.bin

Kernel.bin

Kernel2.bin

Battle.lgp

Flevel.lgp

90
I just need to know what each of these is in a general description... basically I just need to know which file is the enemy stats and ai and I need to know the battle background location thing...

What do all of these do? scene.bin kernel.bin kernel2.bin battle.lgp flevel.lgp

91
What files change monsters and monster characterisitics and battle map locations.

I fought a fight outside of Gaia's Cliff and the battle screen was in the Temple of The Ancients against two low leveled soldiers... then the next fight crashed my game.

92
I made backups for the kernel, field, etc. files in the data folder.

I need to know which ones I need to change back so the spells and everything is back to the normal thing. I still want the hardcore mod, I just want the remix patch's spells back.

That's what the little box that says stuff says... what does it mean?

•Your Operating System (and whether or not UAC is turned off, if applicable)
•The console debug info provided by the FF7Music Console (you can see the FF7Music console by alt+tabbing while running the game) and/or the contents of "app.log" (use the "code" tags)
•The directory your game is installed into.

Operating System is Windows 7, UAC is currently off, I turned it back on after it didn't work.

I got my game installed in the normal directory.

I have a feeling this is because I never made the FF 7 1.02 replacement...

Solved Problems / Re: Team Avalanche won't install...

To be perfectly honest with you, people get tired of repeating themselves and going over things that any PC Windows user should have got off their arse to learn.

I know that is harsh but it is the stage I am at as well.  There are circumstances where naivety to PC is acceptable but when you start down the road of apps and games and getting things working, you should really have researched things like the registry.  It is tedious to keep seeing the same questions and answers pop up every single week.

Oh well.  Just my 2 cents.

My problem with this comment is the fact that the folder in which he is pointing out to me is NON-EXISTANT.

I fixed the problem myself, it should have been left at that.

FF7Music...

I am replacing FF XIII's music not FFVII's...

I would do that lol, but I was wanting to post a playthrough of the game with what I thought FF7 tunes matched up with the scenes.

Basically just a different take.

98
Ya it's still not working, I am going to try the installer again and then turn off my virus protection for that portion.

You are sure the megaupload is clean right?

EDIT: SONOVABITCH, that damn virus protection turned itself back on...

I am getting pissed, I have been trying to resolve this issue since 12:00 PM and it's now 7:30 PM.

Seriously I have never had this many damn problems.

99
So I need to set it to compatability Windows 98?

Great... I try using the other normal FF7 Music and no matter what the profiles are always empty so I can't even use it.
