Some dialog boxes just don't appear

I've searched for this and couldn't find this exact issue. Sorry if it was asked elsewhere.

Some dialog boxes just do not show up or in some cases will flash briefly and then disappear before being readable. During some of the dialog with Bugenhagen it would just popup for a half a second and disappear. Now I'm in the Temple of the Ancients and the small flashback scene where the rolling rock things are and Aerith looks in the pool and we see what happened to Tseng. None of those dialog boxes are showing up at all. I had to go to YouTube and find a video to get the dialog.

Is this a known issue with any mod? Here's the list of mods I'm using:

I've seen this happening when using Field Models on Kaldarasha setting (as you are doing). I don't know why, but that seems to be the cause (you can try deactivating Field Models and see if anything changes). That mod is still a work in progress and it is known for causing some problems. The authors know this and are already working in order to release a better version.

I never would have guessed. I would have bet on Enhanced Stock UI because it actually affects the dialog boxes. Bizarre. I'll try it. I still have a save from before that part. I'll see what happens.

ESUI and MO? ESUI was created beacause MO was incomplete and abandoned. Can’t say it’s your problem, but there isn’t a reason to support running both.

so i tested a lot of different scenarios, and the problem is the ui bar thickness + the esui dialogue style. Having the ESUI dialogue style turned on, but with the thickest bars, the dialogue works fine. With any other bars, that problem happens. With the stock dialogue style, any bar thickness works fine.

The problem is a bug with ESUI related to bar thickness.

It's a limitation of the pack builder that Satsuki's already aware of... the current version will generate UUIDs and categories correctly, but the descriptions weren't being adjusted to account for which options were enabled.

In the video it can be seen the "update available" is showing for the mod, click it to update.

Does being a d*ck work out for you normally or is that just something you do on the internet to feel like a tough guy? Problem was 100% unrelated to any of that. Sorry that I hurt your feelings by being right.

It isn't about being right or wrong, it's about removing extra mods to rule out any possible issue, personally I would say delete and redownload the esui mod and any other mods that affect the ui, download and install ffnx.  Make sure it's a fresh install of ff7 if it was a fresh install skip that part, only use 1 ui mod other than maybe avatar/portraits if you don't like the ones in the stock user interface mod.  make sure stock user interface version of esui is turned off unless your not using it.
