Here is my latest endeavors:

Final Fantasy 7 Characters and Sephiroth
Uploaded by scorpiovaeden

Requires all kinds of mods, and took weeks to get working correctly. I am looking forward towards getting Nanaki / Red XIII.

it's been 6 years and there is not even a DEMO
don't hold your breath
Hey, I like your new name, @The Rocket Kuugen. I shall not hold my breath, and save up my money to hire a IT Technician to help me do some scripting and reverse engineering for The Legend of Dragoon.

On the context of procedural city generation.. anyone looked at city engine? http://www.esri.com/software/cityengine
Priced at either $500 or $4000. Hmm, I wonder who here would purchase this software?

104
you realize that you need the game on your PC before you can do anything at all
I do indeed realize this. I need to purchase a better video card than the one I have.

I also realize that this does exist:

No, since you'd need to inject it and there is no aali config file to do that and even if you could the addresses are different.  It should be fairly simple to adapt it (just add C00 to all addresses) and I am creating my own loader but fact is no it wont without a new dll.  And I don't care about 2012 version tbh... just needed to see if the bug exists in it still which it does :?:

Once I create my loader, kranmer may update his dll and then you may be able to.

Thanks, I appreciate it. So my world map looks cool because I am using my modded one from the 1998 version. It is hard to navigate though with the Highwind because of this. Yes, I am aware that the 2012 version does not use Aali's Open-Gl Driver, yet I was able to get many 3D models to work well with the battle.lgp, char.lgp and world_us.lgp without any problems. I love how the world map loads instantly on the 2012 version, while on the 1998 version, you have to wait patiently for a few seconds.

Congratulations to @dziugo for finding an error made by the mighty Square-Enix Holdings Limited Incorporated / Eidos. I appreciate the work you have done. I will fix the script for myself later.

I played the save file from the dropbox website and had my butt handed to me yet again by Emerald Weapon. I think Emerald Weapon is harder in the 2012 version than the 1998 version due to fact that there is yet to be a 9999 HP /MP patch for that version.

I like both versions, yet I am like @DLPB and prefer the 1998 version. It is far better written and has no restrictive baloney  sandwich like the Game Save Synchronizing Cloud.

Seems like both of you are getting close to solving these problems. Keep up the good work. :-)

106
Is it possible to use "kranmer.dll" with the 2012 version?

107
Can someone check the new ff7 (2012) and see if

a.  The panning bug is fixed

b.  fps runs at 30 dead on and when recording with fraps too.
Sure, I would be more than happy to do that. I will do it when I get off work. Should I use FRAPS 99, or is there a better application out there than FRAPS? I wish there was an application that I could buy that could tell me real-time data on computer games.

I will begin soon. So far from what I have already experienced, the panning and the frame rates are smooth, yet that might be because of external settings that I have used with the AMD Catalyst Control Panel for the Sapphire ATI HD5670 video card.

The settings are as follows:

Code: [Select]
Anti-Aliasing Settings:

Morphological filtering Enabled

Level 8x

24x sampling

Edge detect filter Enabled

Anisotropoic filtering:

16x per pixel samples

Tessellation

64x

High Quality Filtering Quality

Surface Format Optimization Enabled

Vertical Refresh set to always on

Anti-Aliasing Mode set to Super-sample AA

Triple buffering  Enabled for the OpenGL Settings

Another thing to note is, no matter which Screen Resolution option you choose, it is only available for 60 Hz. Too bad they did not make it for 75 Hz or 120 Hz, because some people do have expensive televisions, or should I say Teles.

108
I have tested the "FF7 Load Saved Games" by @Kranmer and it worked flawlessly with the 2012 version of Final Fantasy VII. I will test other applications like @gjoerulv's Harcore mod version 1.0.6. The "FF7 Load Saved Games" is important due to the fact that one will have to reload from their last save constantly if one is using the hardcore mod.

For that matter, since ajthedj brought up Crisis Core, I remember a developer interview where he regretted the lack of time/manpower/resources which made the team unable to develop much of Midgar - their scope had to remain very limited.
That explains allot.  :-( Huh, I did not know that.

110
Thank you for your encouragement. I just downloaded to my Playstation 3 and my PSP 3000 The Legend of Dragoon. I did not feel like spending $65 on an old game for the Playstation. I will buy the original later from a great store called Software Seconds.

I would like to add to the idea for a sandbox version of Midgar, which I am a huge fan of. There is a short film called On the Way to a Smile: Episode Denzel. In the first few minutes of the film, one gets to see parts of Midgar very clearly. I shall make some screen shots below for future reference:

More soon to follow.

Notice I did not bother to use Crisis Core FF7 as an example. That was a dissapointmet for me when it came to how the different Secotrs of Midgar looked.

112
No wonder there are so many petitions online for the sequel.

I would love to figure out the battle system on this classic.

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in modding the timeless Sony classic The Legend of Dragoon for the Playstation. There are many versions of it available that could be modded, including the following:

Platform(s) PlayStation, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable
Release date(s) PlayStation:

JP December 2, 1999
 NA June 11, 2000
 EU January 19, 2001
 PlayStation Network:
 JP December 22, 2010
 NA May 1, 2012

http://legendofdragoon.wikia.com/wiki/The_Legend_of_Dragoon

Four disc long, and very well created, many fans of this game supposedly were interested in making a sequel for it, since the pre-production of the sequel was unexpectedly canceled. So one of the main purposes of modding the game is to be able to possibly make a fan-based sequel.

UPDATE:

Just played 40 minutes of the game's Disc One on my Playstation 3. I had to use Cinema Zoom times four to get the game to fit the screen of my 47" LG LED LCD TV. The graphics are not as good as Final Fantasy IX's graphics, which is not a problem. I am sure you would agree with me that would be awesome to find a way to upscale the graphics for this great game.

On topic: Who in the FUCK already took obesebear as their steam name?  Fucking assholes...

You have my sympathies. Shall I go and hunt down the thief?

I just upgraded my video card from ATI Radeon HD 5670 to ATI Radeon HD 6770. Now I can fully enjoy Black Mesa.

117
Im looking for the cloud model that's like the one in advent children with his sword and jacket
Does anyone know what it's called in bootleg? Bootleg has an ac cloud but it doesn't have the sword and jacket. I saw this on YouTube. I believe it's called AC cloud by Kewara Abdul or something.
That Cloud Strife model is not supported here, because the person named @Kula Wende distributed it illegally across the world wide web. He did not get permission to use those models. Now, if you want to make a rip of the models of Cloud Strife from either Kingdom Hearts II or from Dissidia 012 [duodecim] Final Fantasy. I know that is allot of hard work, yet if you want something really bad, you will work hard for it, not steal it.

Am I correct?

118
I think it's a matter of screen size + resolution. So while i'm inclined to purchase the FF7 they have on PSN and play it on my PS3, i'd rather purchase the FF8 that's there and retire my old PS
I have that version of Final Fantasy VIII on my PSP, and it is awesome on the go.

Gameplay / Re: Monster Arena / Pvp

The problem with all of these ideas is that the work needed to make them come true requires at least a team of three of the members of this forum to work together for at least six months of time. If we can all just work together, then count me in. If not, then I shall wait until I can find someone that will have a similar view about this.

An arena customized like this idea would be remarkable indeed.

I guess I am not an expert, just another guy. Oh well.

I think he wants someone like @PitBrat to help him.

@kanelakis, if you do not get help soon, I will send some PMs to the other experts for you and lobby for them to read these posts of yours.

Sigh. At least I was able to leave my old, stressful job a month ago. Now I have a new form of stress to put up with.

Hey  :?:

Before megaupload closed I used timu sumisu's model (the one I'm looking for) and it worked very well but I lost it and now I'd love to have it back.

Thank you.
I know I have it somewhere in my downloads folder. Let me go and put it on MediaFire's Website for you. @VGR posted this on MediaFire:

I am really thankful that I decided to purchase my copy before Square-Enix raises the price tomorrow. Now I own three versions of Final Fantasy VII on five devices.

The Playstation Network version looks better on the PSP than the Playstation 3. That is my opinion of course.
