It probably won't work but maybe you should try running the program in a different compatibility mode?  I'm not very computer savvy, but I know doing so helps run older programs on XP.  If it doesn't work you can always buy XP and install it  :|

I can't wait for that tutorial.  I always thought it would be better if you had a short battle with the summons before you got them, like the way FF8 does it.

Absolutely amazing!  About how many hours did it take to finish that model?

http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/save/197343.html Enjoy :-)

If you don't know how to convert it to a PC save, http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=7199.0.  I just restarted FF8 on my PSP, maybe now I'll make it past the 2nd disc lol.

I had the same problem as you when I tried to use the patch.  I fixed the problem by telling the patch to browse just to my data folder (which was C:\Program Files\ Final Fantasy VII\data).  If I browsed to the "char" folder where I unzipped all the files it would give me the same kind of error.  If that doesn't work try browsing to other folders higher in the directory and it may work.
Also I think ice_cold513 and co. are getting ready to release version .7 of the NPC patch, so you may just want to wait a few more days for them to finish.

Completely Unrelated / Re: Advent Children?
« on: 2007-12-03 00:06:52 »
Since Final Fantasy VII has such strong ties to religion I always understood the "Advent" as meaning the second coming of Sephiroth.  In Christianity the word advent is used to refer to the second coming of Jesus Christ.  Therefore, I think it's a fairly logical assumption that "Advent" is being used in that sense.

As for "Children", I can't decide what to make of it.  You can view it in a religious sense that Sephiroth (and his second coming) was borderline godlike which would make all victims of geostigma his "children".  However, it's also very possible that "Children" is just that.  Children.  The movie follows Denzel around quite a bit, and at one point dozens of children are gathered up in an attempt to locate Jenova.  I think the strong undertones of the FFVII universe point to "Children" meaning the former.

If anyone knows of any official statements about this from Squeenix, please share.

The link I posted has your answers.  Please type sentences with correct spelling and punctuation; it is quite difficult to understand you.

http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=7022.  Just do a little searching.

As for the LuckyTifa patch, all you have to do is get her limit break and it will all be "Yeah".

Once you've opened up your PC save file right click on the save you want to convert.  Click on save as.  From here it depends on what type of emulator you're using (I use EPSXE) so I name it "epsxe001" and save it as ".mcr"
Move your new file into the memcards folder of the emulator and you're ready to go.

From there it's as simple as running the emulator and loading from slot 2.

http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd138/obesebear/pzx.jpg   That is what your folder should look like.  I have no problem running and using the program; if you are using vista or an OS other than Windows XP that could possibly be the problem.

Yes it will convert PC to PSX and vice versa, and can also change region codes.

Check out a program called psxmemtool.  I used it to transfer my saved game from EPSXE so I could continue playing on the PC version.  I'm pretty sure it allows to convert between PAL and NTSC as well.
