Hello Cicciolo, I've not really tested the Chocobo World editor, I use informations given to me. I know not everyone here is a programmer, but contributions are welcome!

Is there a way to physically change the location of your party through this?
Like, I know it can activate event flags, but I need to get out of the Dollet exam due to it crashing every time I finish it, and I want to change the location where I saved at  from the Comm. Tower to Balamb's hotel.
I know there's an option to change the location name, but it doesn't change the actual location (for me, at least)

The physical location can be edited in the "Party" editor, but you need to know the map name (if not in worldmap) and the coordinates (X, Y and ID).
I advice you to find the location from another save. You can also use Deling (A Field Editor) to find a location precisely, but that is more complicated.

I posted my informations about CW editor here: http://wiki.qhimm.com/view/FF8/GameSaveFormat#Chocobo_World
It is easy to test unknown values in the HexaEdit editor (available in advanced mode only, enable it on the Settings menu).

I can answer your last question for the most part. Doubt people will call you a cheater since most here don't care about achievements to begin with. For max money, I'd just use the built in cheats in the game. It's either F4 or F5 you have to press ingame to max out your money. You can use Hyne to get the 10000 kills achievement. As for Squall at level 7, when I tried it, it didn't give it to me. But I also didn't let the scenes completely play out either. In the end, your game, your experience. :-)

It's okay. Meaning, I didn't let the game get to the credits/end. I stopped just after Ulti was beaten in battle.

New minor update available on GitHub.

If you have troubles with the Abilities page in the Characters Editor, this release fixes that.

first of all i would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this great project  :-D
so what i'm trying to do is down level my character's levels without effecting their stats.
i did some experiments with this, what i did is take a screenshot before and after lowering the levels and add the stats difference in the bonus section in the characters tab in hyne. now my squall is level 8 with level 11 stats.

TL;DR is there a way to down level without changing the stats, or show the actual stats instead of zeros?

Well i'm afraid i don't know what i could do with this... i have basically 0 programming skills :o anyway, the Black Chocobo editor for FF7 (from a different author, i know) has a similar issue with hi-scores at Gold Saucer (i.e. i scored 20000+ points in Speed Square but the editor says all values around 4000~5000, among other wrong values)

ps: another question, but please nobody assault me or call me cheater: i played FF8 like normal, and i'm planning to quit it soon because i'm tired of it and don't want to do multiple playthroughs (i finish FF titles once every few years), also i dislike "challenges". I'm missing only the achievements for maxing money (i know about the trick), killing 10000 enemies (just super lazy) and the worst one: Contrived Finish, basically finishing the game with Squall at level 7. What happens if i edit Squall's level back to 7 (without caring about the stats) and defeat the final boss? Will the game think i'm playing a "no-level challenge"? Again, it's just a question.

Here to confirm that i got the Achievements Contrived Finish after using Hyne edit before final boss but u need the credit to roll and wait for the achievement notification sync message

I open my save slot and set some value in Chocobo World tab, and when I go to in game, I change Boko to Home but nothing happend, the value is back to start :(. Everything work fine, only Chocobo World doesn't work for me X_X.

Trying to figure out how the various fields work, specifically with the Triple Triad rules section. Namely, that despite setting the rules where i liked them, they keep resetting on their own even though i haven't talked to the queen or moved her.  Additionally, they'll change between back-to-back games with the same person.  It's super annoying to have to back out and save and exit, reset the rules, the go back in and play the next game.  So what does the field "Trade Rating" mean and what happens if i set the Queen of Cards location to the 0 entry from the dropdown?  Thanks.

Hello,
I was having a problem with the SeeD Rank. I edited a fresh save file to obtain some triple triad cards. but after the SeeD field Exam, I did not obtain a SeeD rank and I cannot access the SeeD Test in the Tutorial Menu. Is there anyway to fix this?

Thanks for everything you do and also fixing this issue. There's something else I have an issue with though. I'm using the Steam version and for some reason something went wrong with some of the Laguna "flags" you can do by unlocking trapdoors. For some reason the third door (which contains the Power Generator) is locked for me. I didn't see an option in Hyne to change those flags and unlock all doors. Is there any way to do this I didn't see or is it not possible to find the fitting code?
