That's some nice grass, that.

No, really. Most community grass backgrounds end up too flat (just a homogeneous sea of green), or far too grainy and busy. Yours seems to strike the right balance, which is pretty unusual. Nice work.

If you want to model a plain of grass, go for it.  Keep the blades short though.

Theoretically all that needs to be done is create a completely flat plane with a bunch of small raised bits on it, then replace the floor plane in the original.  There shouldn't be any problems doing that.

They need to be under the battle folder.

they need to be in a modpath not simply in the mod folder.

here is a copy of the installation instructions for my mod, it'll work the exact same way for this only replace the word "field" with the word "battle" in what's below and your golden

to install just place the field folder in your mod path "mods/(mod path)/"
for example if your using the Team Avalanche Graphical Overhaul then you would place it in "mods/avalanche"


also make sure you have the mod path set up and activated in Aali's config file
for example
mod_path = avalanche

just did a fresh install of FF7 and finally got to use this ingame and I am super impressed! Anyone who hasn't tried it out yet should, it is simply beautiful! Now if only we could increase the draw distance of the world map and implement some kind of fog....

Yeah, I mentioned the same thing in a different thread, but this mod sparked the idea. It would make 7's world even more breathtaking with this mod + that.

too bad i am still a ways off in my programming classes, i wouldn't even know where to begin. Started self-teaching myself C# while im in a VB class right now. Fortunately they somewhat similar, my next class is in Java programming. Maybe i can take a crack at it in a year if it hasn't been done by then, lol.

Oh, right I know. I was asking more in a "I've been looking through the LGP's and can't seem to find them" kinda way. :P But I should have been more specific.

*edit* Seems I found my answer: http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=10647 (and unless things have changed...darn! I thought we'd be able to make some nicer looking models for the towns)
