Completely Unrelated / Re: PS3 vs 360

That is true, but as with any other online game, on any other platform, it simply depends on the ping of the other player, although to be fair, it is a hell of a lot worse lag-wise when it happens on the ps3.

I bought GH3 again for my 360 because of it.

1. Free online play compared to Xbox Live (With no where near as much lag as 360 Fanboys claim)
2. DualShock 3 is actually the shit
3. Internet access (browse pages, not just the online store)
4. Quicker loading times than 360 counterpart games due to installation on first play
5. No batteries required for the wireless controller (Saving money)
6. PS1 games downloadable from PS Store for £3.50
7. FF7 remake if it ever happens
8. Sexual design, and push symbols instead of buttons
9. Virtually NO noise while you play
10. Bluetooth compatible

....By the way, I'm no fanboy, I have both consoles, and could easily list 10 good points abou thte 360, but that's not really what this is about is it? ;-)

For the love of the gods, it's asking you to insert the disc because you installed the 1.02 patch, which there is no crack for, and is therefor incompatible with your downloaded copy.

Support Squeenix and buy that damm game, it's deserving of it.

And if you buy it, you'll get to use all the sexual mods. ;-)

He's not saying you have no chance per se, just that it would be VERY difficult because of the fact they would have to be built from the ground up.
The way it works for KH, is that you rip the model from said game, then fix o suit FF7's needs.  If you were to make Advent Children models, which btw just for reference, imo, would look out of place in FF7's badly stretched universe, you would have to build them from scratch.

Meaning modelling, texturing and such.  Not impossible by any means, but very, very difficult.

Still, it would be an interesting thing to see if it were to be done I suppose.

I would go with ripping Kingdom Hearts models myself. ;-)

Troubleshooting / Re: FF7 freeze

The game was downloaded from a reputable source on a private so I know that is not the problem.

.....Downloaded, as in...Ultima Edition?

1. The AnimeVamp patch contains a virus, use an Anti-Virus prog and scan your whole system before doing anything drastic.

2. If you have the XP Pro cd lying around and your that worried, why not just install Pro over the Home edition? :-P

3. For the modified files, you could always try a further back restore point.  And also, if your laptop came pre-installed with XP (as mine did with Vista), you should be able to press F12 or something on the boot screen, and go do a destructive restoration from there (Put the laptop back to factory settings, restoring any lost files).

Troubleshooting / Re: Final Fantasy VII Weird problem...?

Is it the real SP3 you have (If it's even out yet)?
Or the home-made one with all the fancy Vista-ness?

If it's the latter, that might be your problem.  If not, search the forums, I'm sure there's about 4 topics with a similair problem, but I can't be bothered searching for you as I'm playing Lego Star Wars. :-D

Just search, I'm sure you'll find your answer.

109
Yeh, it has it's own disclaimer thing and everything. :-P
It's a free download, like everything else found for download here.

Imagine how PO'd Squeenix would be if we charged as well as modded!

Haha I like it how when a question starts with...
"Hi, I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem...?"

It clearly means they just haven't searched, and more than likely are one of those people who join a forum just to ask a question, then once they get there answer, dissapear forever. :-P

Haha I hope you can go through with this all the way.  I really would prefer to play as Tidus instead of Cloud, Yuna, and Auron against Seymour.
I hate him more than Sephy you see, Sephy is charismatic, so much so to gain a fan following.  Seymour is just a retard, making me hate him, he has no charisma at all.

Ahhhh the memories....

This mod isn't nothing special now, and by the way makes no sense to morph ff7 into X they're completely different :| Anyway this is my point of view.

Geez, It's just a mod, just a bit of fun to test my skills. You could say the same about a Sonic mod. Maybe I like Final Fantasy X characters but i like the Final Fantasy storyline? Or maybe I'm doing this for the lulz? *Sigh* I only wanted to make a mod you didn't have to go all "nothing special" on my ass..... :-(

I like the idea, FFX characters are among my favourite in the entire series.  Just ignore people critisizing.  It's either because they don't have the skill/talent to make there own, or they just enjoy being whiners.  Go for it, and see what the end result is.
I look forward to seeing your work. ;-)

As long as the link isn't posted on here, or the official release is on here.
But hey, there's no reason not to give a hint when it's done, and expect a few "What's the link?" PMs :-P

The mod sounds awesome btw.  Good luck.

We don't support downloaded versions of the game.
That's also why the high-res patch doesn't work, and why the 1.02 patch will not work.

It would be nice if it was like FFX, in when your limit (Overdrive) gauge is full, attack is still there, you just push right, to select it.

It's an option, not forced upon you.

General Discussion / Re: Metal Gear Solid help?
« on: 2008-06-30 07:59:11 »
Okay, I just recently had this installed on my laptop (Vista) and after some tweaking got it to work.  It may or may not work on XP too.

First off, reinstall.  And when you first install, run the installation in compatibility mode for Win 95.  Then when the game is fully installed, run the shortcut aas Win 95 also.  It should give you the message saying it doesn't recognise your hardware (It's only fully compatible with really old gpu's, and Hardware mode isn't much of an improvement), and run in software mode.  The resolution will switch to lowest possible, and it should run, where you can change it to the highest (albeit still rather low) resolution the game supports.

If this works for you, then enjoy.

If not, I'm afraid you'll have to wait for a better method from someone else. :-)

You might want to uninstall the XP patch.

That bad boy causes trouble for a lot of people.

123
That Anakin in the first link is AWESOME!!!

124
Just out of curiosity, I have to ask, why do you want to go to so much trouble just to change your game time?
Unless your truly terrible, and have a really lousy time, I can't really see a reason to go through so much for such an insignificant thing.

125
Don't worry about it, we're a friendly bunch here.

Indeed! :-P
