That whole round thing is going to be the materia?? Hmm I'm not sure but kinda liked romeo14's design for the materia.

i think he made the socket, the materia would go inside the outer ring of his graphic

It doesn't really look like it would fit the Final Fantasy VII style in my opinion.
I thought it was a map at first lol.

I sorta like it cause it looks more like how it would be in a metal weapon lol. Can't wait to see combined sockets like this.
Which reminds me, how would combined materia logically work if it is all the same weapon?

It looks a little too detailed. I agree that the stock ones are a bit bland, but this looks like something out of Oblivion or Fallout.

So the one in the Dead Fantasy series are how Tifa uses materia in the main game?? So it must be the same with Red XIII. I want to see how that happens in a remake. Or at least a remake video made by square.

I think that Red XIII put's the materia on his Clips and Bracers :mrgreen:

Well the problem is his bracers or hairclip don't have any materia holes in them so not sure with that.

Red just super-glues them on the backside of his equipment and uses a solvent to remove them lol, abd tifas materia would go into knuckle pockets on her gloves to make attacks stronger.

No, Tifa uses her BOOBS for storing all the Materia. That's why they're so big in FF7, but not in AC. :-X
As for that design, it looks too much like an ancient compass to me.

Place your knowledge into the lifestream, wait long enough to be called an ancient and have your knowledge form into materia, then hope a Tifa is born. Wish granted ;D

Back on topic, if its the socket can you try to do something more darker?? I think the socket is untouched by team avalanche but I'm not sure. Make one that is good enough and damn you contributed to team avalanche. :)

The socket has been completed. We have no plans on changing it.

Hmm you're materia kinda looked liked crampled paper. But if you want it to look that way then I should say you've done a good job with it. :)

I could be wrong but your statement is somewhat demeaning to the work this person is trying to put into it.
I wouldn't suggest or use this mod. Unfortunantly as in the image, the full size look of the sockets are interesting. When put in game the resolution is dramatically decreased. I'm sure his materia looked interesting full size too.
My suggestion is to understand what I meant above and refocus your efforts on what it looks like in game.

I just said it looks like a crampled paper. Is there something wrong that I've said?? I didn't said it was bad I just said what it looked like. If he wanted his materia to be done like that then I think its good. Sorry if it came out as an insult if that's what you think.
