Every time I try to install it, it gives me nothing. I click install and it goes to my normal screen, and no installation happens. I have tried safe mode, but that does not work, I have tried making an iso but that wont work. I made the iso and copied the files to my desktop and installed it from there, it worked, but now I cant play the game because it does not read any disks. I am at my wits end here, can you folks help me?

Well, I'm using Wondows 7, which I'm guessing is like Vista (except not crap). I never had a problem installing the program. And I use iso's as well. How exactly are you using the iso? With a program like Deamon tools? or are you running the setup directly from the files in the disk image (I did that a couple of times with other games before I discovered you have to use a program). I may be able to help some, but someone else may be better at helping you.
Edit; Oh, and don't be so vague with your Subject names: FF7 being a pain in my rear. Try renaming it (if you can) to Problems with FF7 Installation. You'll get in a lot less trouble that way. And more people will lokk at your thread and help.

... Well I'm stuck. I rarely have problems with games installing, so I wouldn't be able to help. Hopefully someone else can help, maybe tomorrow.

If you can get it installed at all, you've got a start.
All you need to do to get it to read discs properly is to edit the registry setting for the FF7 disc drive so that it knows where to call the discs or ISO from. I'm not sure exactly where it is in the registy since I've never really had to do it, but it'll be under Software> Squaresoft, Inc> Final Fantasy VII.
Just take a look round there for anything that looks like it might need a drive letter, then just change it to the one you use your discs or ISOs with.
Hope that helps, don't give up!
EDIT: Although, I'm not too sure how installing it like this is going to affect other things. You might have to take movie files from the other discs, since I'm not sure they're all stored on the first disc.

Start> Cmd (command prompt) > type in regedit > find FF7 > change drive letter > don't touch anything else > leave.

Chage Data drive to the letter I am using right? Data drive gets it to work, but now I have to move the movies to the regular file. Because the game after I hot new game wont play. Just gives me a blank screen.

Oh, as far as I know, there's a movie directory in the registry too.

There is,but that does not fix it when i change it to the drive. No movies will play =/. I think my discs may be faulty cause when i look at the files in the movie section I get only the sky movie as a movie reel.

Are you sure you typed the right character in the moviepath registry? Make sure you put the movies in a place where there are no spaces in the folder names.
Example: D:\Movies\
That is ok but if you put it in D:\My Files\Movies is not ok. Also make sure you put the last "\" in the registry. That was my problem before that I forgot. D:\Movies in the moviepath registry will not work while D:\Movies\ will work.

-edit- I got it to work by changing the graphic configurations to TnT and software renderer :D thank you all so much for your help.
