Well I think there are some weird spell check rules in place here...... :-o

I imagine that the forum uses a generic spell checker that came with the forum software. Microsoft is the most famous company whose name has "soft" in it, so it's not surprising that it would be the only one the spell checker would think of.

Try typing in "Linux" and see if it suggests "neckbeard".

funny part about that is Linux is spelt correctly (as long as you have a capital L).
