Yes, also, one of my translators wants as many of these put back into the game as part of our project, as an option. I think at the end, it sounds like a good idea. Since you are working on that I have asked him not to translate any of the non used parts and to go over your work, if that is ok?

So that's where the "Letter to a Daughter" and "Letter to a Wife" key items come from. They mention they're to family in Kalm. I guess there's no corresponding recipient dialog anywhere in Kalm. I wonder what the reward for that particular quest would be...

Sure, if you think my writing style will fit in, that's no problem at all. Feel free to edit the text to sound more like the characters, I've had Tsetra helping me with Ebonics for Barret and I'm terrible at Cid's voice. =) It will save you guys some work, anyway.

I think that the Peddler's appearance in Gongaga has been well-known for awhile, but I've never seen anyone else mention his appearance in Rocket Town. In any case, with everyone working on the script lately, I'm sure if there is any recipient dialogue, it will be discovered soon.

It's completely removed in the PC version. The original Jap version sure is interesting...
It would be cool to restore all this stuff. I'd say I could port the programming...but nothing else :/

Thanks :) I am still helping Shademp a little every now and then, the work you guys are doing is great. I was also sent some stuff about battle AI bugs the other day and will send that along as well.

If anyone manages to rip the script from the original Japanese version of the game and the original English version, we'd be well on our way to discovering lots more unused text and version differences. =)
If someone's willing to take it on, I'm sure it would result in many further points of interest.

I gave shademp what I had and I believe he found someone who gave him other material. So I think you have that?
-
My tools (http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=8571.msg106599#msg106599) can already dump the original Japanese script, no changes are necessary.

Thank you Gemini, that's awesome! The work can proceed then.

I would have told you sooner (when you sent me those two requests for help), but your PM box seems to repel all my messages.

I see now, one of my account settings were wrong. From now on all PM messages should be received properly.

In which Sephiroth is given a little more characterization. He seems like a pretty cool guy.

Interesting :o
Sephiroth:
“Our company”…
Sephiroth:
…Haven’t you ever thought about
wanting to quit SOLDIER…
no, quit Shin-Ra?
Reminds me of Crisis Core...

GlitterBerri hasn't played Crisis Core yet though and since she doesn't want spoilers we better not say what we're all thinking. =P
