Title: Toriyama's cut scene in video !
Post by: myst6re on 2011-01-26 21:28:01
I have finally recorded the biggest cut scene I've ever seen! It was hard to unlock, but I've made it!
So, now the video:
Now in english! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjI2h9WcUqo

For Francophones, here are the explanations: http://www.ffdream.com/news-13010.html (http://www.ffdream.com/news-13010.html)

Holy...

Everything in that video was familiar one way or another EXCEPT for the "Huge Sephiroth" scene.
Is this a scene that belongs to BLACKBGG or BLACKBGF?

Too cool, myst6re! Why do you call it "Toriyama's scene"? How did you get these all to work again, exactly? Also, if you used any of the translations from Face of the Moon to fill in the text boxes, be aware that I have vastly updated/improved versions here:

http://www.glitterberri.com/final-fantasy-vii/debug-videos (http://www.glitterberri.com/final-fantasy-vii/debug-videos)

Sorry it's all scattered about. You might want to quickly check them against yours.

This cutscene really shows there's something seriously wrong with Cloud.

It's in mds7pb_1, with a fade opcode to black colour. I noticed in this field that the 3D model of sephiroth was present.

All fields in this video was created by Toriyama. It's visible in field data and all field are accessible via the toriyama's debug room. I'm not sure but I think he is the author of these scenes...

Thanks, I have used this version too! Thank you very much for your work, it helped me a lot.

Ah, interesting. =) And no problem, glad they were helpful. Out of curiosity, why don't you show the "premonition" that Johnny has in the video?

From what I heard, there are very buggy scenes that can be unlocked but will make the game to crash... I'll work on it (I swichted to an English version myst6re so most people will understand) if you don't. You are awesome (and French ;D), yeah.

So THATS why there is a giant Sephiroth. I noticed a couple of months ago. Would you be willing to upload it so we can get an English translation?

How long did it take you? Very good job :D :p

Yeah, I'll think about it, but first I will see if I can not unlock other scenes.

I used all my free time since Sunday.

Edit:

New scene!

Johnny left the sector...

Edit 2:

Wahaha, that's pretty interesting to see my translated text in context. I'll be going back later today to fix a few things for sure... that video demonstrates the danger of using gender pronouns for a language that has no contextual clues about the sex of the speaker. x_x Oh well, you can see why the official translation for FF7 was so sketchy... that's why games need editors/proof-readers, folks!

Thanks for your hard work, myst3re. If you keep talking to Johnny when he says "Tifa..." you'll get his freak out scene.

http://www.glitterberri.com/final-fantasy-vii/unseen-text/johnnys-house (http://www.glitterberri.com/final-fantasy-vii/unseen-text/johnnys-house)

Johnny:
…Tifa…
Tifa…

Johnny:
Aa...!!
By you, of all people!!
It’s awful! It’s too awful!

Johnny:
Stop!!
Please, stop!!

Johnny:
Don't watch!
Don’t look!!

There is no script with these texts, Johnny repeats "Tifa" indefinitely.
