Title: Upload problems...
Post by: Alhexx on 2002-03-23 13:15:00
I've got a problem when trying to upload files onto servers from my home comp. I have tried several FTP clients and several hosts, and everytime the connection speed goes to 0...
The same happens when I  try to upload a file onto Fice's Remake Server...
I've also tried passive mode, but nothing seems to work...

What OS are you using?  (XP?)  Have you tried to FTP from the command line?  I assume XP will let you do this...

Are you behind any kind of proxy or firewall?  At work, we have to use a proxy server to connect to anything, and FTP doesn't work though it (similar problem to what you described).

Proxy: No
Firewall: Yes, ZoneAlarm, but my FTP clients have all rights...

However, I'm trying to download some other FTP clients, and I'll see what I can do then. You'll see if I was succesfull...

speaking of zonealarm..... do you allow:

"Application Layer Gateway Service"
"Generic Host process for Win32 Services"
"Services and Controller app"

to access the internet?
