finally... something interesting.

Yeah.
I also have seen on two sites (sorry, don't have links right here) about a game possibly in development by Squaresoft tentatively titled "Final Fantasy N." It's supposed to have a Gamecube and GBA release and support the link feature between the consoles. And it's supposed to have cool, flashy FMVs on the Gamecube side :-p
Anyway, they said it'll be done around Christmas... if it's true, that's cool. Anyone else heard anything?

This'll be a reason for me to buy a GBA. (I LOVE FF Tactics.)
-
FFT for GBA is a good news for us, but I also hope there are a 3D Final Fantasy series RPG for GBA & Game Cube too.
-
I read something about the FInal Fantasy N. It was in an italian website. Anyways, the GBA and Game Cube version of the game is going to be the same. Same story, same everything, but only the gamecube will be able to play FMVs and have a good sound. You can use the same save file for the GBA and Game Cube. If you missed an FMV in the GBA, there will be an option to be able to replay those FMVs in the Game Cube. You will be able to hook up the GBA to the Game Cube. That's all I know.

P.S.: I read something about the PlayStation 3 too.

Nintendo should've added a cheap 3d accelerator on the GBA. To heavy my ass.

Darkness: They did.

tony hawks pro skater 2 for GBA has 3d acceleration for the sprites. Remember how GBA is a "souped up" super nintendo? Suoer nintend had a 3d accelerator too. It wasn't a real good one though...
-
the word sprite kinda suggests a 2D image that changes as it moves.
oh.... and i seriously doubt that the snes had a 3d accelerator.

Why don't they call it Super Famicom in the US instead of Super Nintendo?
-
SNES didn't have a 3D accellerator... some games (i.e. Star Fox, Yoshi's Island) had the Super FX chip in the cartridge, and that served as the 3D hardware. It was rather slow, put out non-textured polygons, and could show maybe 20-30 on the screen at once and maintain a good framerate?
Doom used textured polygons and the framerate suffereed... a lot.
GBA seems to have a 3D accellerator (they are coming out with a game that looks kinda like the SNES star fox, and they are coming out with Doom, Wolf3D, and some 3D racing games).

i heard square wont put any of their games on any of the nintendo consoles :o

This sentence makes no sense. Sprites are not 3 Dimensional.
-
Apply sprites to flat planes, & you can accerate them. That's what he meant.

More 2d acceleration than 3d, really, then, isn't it...

You been keeping up with the news?
Square and Nintendo have an agreement again and Square is developing games for GC and GBA.
