Title: FF7 Movie Stutter in game
Post by: DarrienEmerald on 2011-03-06 00:38:53
Just installed the Remix pack 2.5.1, and the opening video before the new game screen works great, but once i go in game, the fmv video stutters horribly, the sound gets way ahead and then stops until the video can catch up.  I've loaded the videos from the folder itself in MPC, and it plays just fine there, it's just once I'm in game that it starts going wonky.  Any ideas?

Try downloading and installing TrueMotion2.0Setup.  It worked for me

dont bother with the codec
just use the latest version of Aali's driver

[linked from the official thread]
http://85.24.185.102/share/ff7_opengl-0.7.10b.zip

the driver comes with its own more versatile codec and it is required by most other mods found on the forum
if I remember correctly Remix only comes with 0.7.3b which is a few release behind and can cause some problems

its DLPB's project to restore some life back into the movie scenes
its a great mod but bear in mind this absolutely requires you to use 0.7.10b (I had problems of my own trying otherwise)

hope this helps

yeah, people need to stop mentioning the codec unless for some really weird reason Aali's driver refuses to work.
