Title: Greatest song ever
Post by: Kudistos Megistos on 2011-03-18 20:13:54
This truly has to be the greatest song ever written.

Firstly, the performance is top-notch; listening to her voice, you can hear the result of both prodigious natural talent and years of training. Like a siren, her range and melody transfixes the listener and draws him in to a world of pure aural pleasure.

Secondly, and even more importantly, the lyrics are perhaps the greatest delineation of life and love that have ever been given in the English language. Each line is profound and insightful and displays a mastery of the English language not seen since Shakespeare. It is a pleasure to hear her in full control of the language, shaping it and playing with it to create a work of true literary genius.

But listen to me no longer! Please, listen to the song and you will see why it is taking the world by storm!

Oh Dear. This is what everyone was on about today then D:

...and there I was turning off oasis expecting to hear the next greatest song in the history of time. It was almost impossible to detect any sarcasm in that post at all :P

I'm amazed at how true this song rings. IT REALLY IS FRIDAY TODAY! How did she know I would listen to this TODAY of all days???

Don't want to be an @$$, but... this song is worse than any other songs I have even listen. This is a personnal opinion of course, but, to me, I think the better song ever is REDEMPTION by Gackt... I can listen to it more than seventy times a day without getting tired of it. LONGING just after, and A One-Winged Angel (Orchestral version) following. Maybe we should make a thread of it.

1) Kudi's post was sarcasm, you should really learn that Kudi believes the exact opposite of most everything he says.

2) One Winged Angel, not A One Winged Angel

U_U Yeah lol, I always take the sentences "as-is" and so don't really understand sarcasm. A One-Winged Angel, this is the name of the original, and since I was talking about the one from the Reunion Tracks... oh well.

That was a valuable insight from a valuable person.

Turning Oasis off isn't the best thing to do if you want to hear the greatest (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2poqYvWsyU) song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hzrDeceEKc) ever (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMazI2ROJXM).

A One-Winged Angel, this is the name of the original
No it's not. No official English-language media has EVER used this name, it has always been "One-Winged Angel". And since Japanese doesn't have articles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article_%28grammar%29), even a literal translation wouldn't have "A" at the beginning.

Oh god, I expected this, I just saw it yesterday.

Interesting thing about this video is that, If it's a joke video and they meant it to be funny it fails because It's not very funny for a joke song.

- but if it's a real song that's serious, it's funny as hell because of how bad the lyrics are. It's kind of one of those Damned if you do/don't situations  :P

because they no longer have their own taste and follow whatever the media toss at them ? if so, that serves them right.

If she's 13, then why are her friends that look the same age driving to School? :P

Just imagine if she got the bus, she'd explode trying to decide where to sit.

^ That doesn't surprise me, after looking at the itunes top 100, I have lost faith in the musical tastes of people, I'm not usually one to hate on mainstream music, but it seems as though all people need is a techno pop beat and an autotuned chorus to be satisfied these days.

I love this song.

I actually was just kidding, but I have a few complaints about the video. There are four people in a car that can only fit five people. But she says she has to make up her mind where to sit... *facepalm*

And none of them people look old enough to be driving.

I'm also using OS X on a netbook =p

That being said, do you have FF VII running?  If not, wanna help me test something?

I'm making a simple installer of sorts for Final Fantasy VII on OS X.  Sithlord tested it and said it worked, but I'm trying to get a larger sample pool for "Is this ready for me to release"  I have the method down pat, now it's just a matter of the package required.

So... you're designing an installer to make it possible to run FF7 on a Mac?

So... you're designing an installer to make it possible to run FF7 on a Mac?

...Well... make it easier to run it.  Getting it to run manually is a royal pain, and some parts of the process don't make sense, so I doubt anybody else would think of them (hell, I figured out some of the steps by accident), so I'm just trying to make it easy.  I have a method for it ready, I'm just trying to figure out how best to package it at this point.
