Hi all, first post here. Need a bit of assistance.
I installed FF7 today with the patch, Aali's mod, and FF7music (using Covarr's installer), but it won't start. I click on ff7.exe (with compatibility set to 98), and it runs in the background only. I look in the running processes and FF7Config is running at ~45 of CPU, and ff7.exe is running, but nothing is happening.
On top of that, FF7music.exe's configure button only causes itself to freeze. I think I'm doing something wrong...
This is what the log for FF7music shows up one of the times I attempted to use it to run FF7:

I am running Windows 7, 64-bit.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Compatibility mode set to 98 isn't needed. Just throwing that out there.

Well that was a simple solution to a problem that had me frustrated for 2 hours. Thanks so much!

The FF7Music installer sets FF7 to Win98 mode on Vista and 7. Can't remember why, but there was probably a reason. What worries me is that it's not working for you when it's in Win98 compatibility mode. I haven't had the same issue on my machine, also Win7 x64.
You were running ff7config WHILE you ran ff7? Any particular reason? I will test on my own and see if that causes problems.

Any luck replicating the bug?

Not yet, but I haven't gotten around to trying yet either. I'm on a fresh install of Windows as of about a week ago, and I actually don't even have ff7 installed yet.
