Must've been hard to do il never be even able to complete inside 90hrs
-
Best possible achivement (not yet done) : 7 hours and 12 minutes. Would require LOTS of luck though, and is most likely to never be done.

How come you are so sure about the exact number of minutes (432)?

Testing has been done by FFVII masters. I'm not sure if it was 12 or 22, actually.

If tasvideos.org has taught me anything, it's that there's always a faster way that nobody thought of before. People are constantly improving on supposedly "perfect" runs.

Sub-7 hours would be awesome.

WHatever happened to Garland's Speed Run? It had to be the closest to 'perfection'. But it is incomplete and has taken years...if I were a judge of such things...I'd say speed runs are only valid if you sit down, press 'New Game' and then don't move from that spot until you kill Sephiroth. Granted, this type of run would contain countless mistakes in terms of speed, but avoiding battles through Save/Loading is not cool. My best run was ~12 hours, and it felt like I just committed a dirty crime - granted I know the dialogue, but to mash thru it all from New Game to finish felt, and is wrong. Basically I don't respect Speed Runs and don't think they mean much unless they are straight playthroughs.
Sub-7 hours, would be vomit-inducing and cause spontaneous human combustion to all those in a 12 mile radius; not awesome.

Each people have their opinions I presume. A speed run is to beat the game the fastest possible, no matter what. Some things are prohibited though. A TAS is different and usually faster.

Gross. VII Responsibly.

It'd also require catheter or a bedpan.

Or a coordinated team effort. There's plenty of moments to switch off.

I think he got sick of replaying the Corel Bridge section > 50-odd times in his last segment.
