Title: Final fantasy vii technical demo
Post by: LeonhartGR on 2012-02-22 11:54:26
I was wondering if I can find the official "Final fantasy vii technical demo" with the "Cloud jumping off train" scene in original quality that released in E3. I need it to remake my opening.avi from start to achieve the highest quality possible. I have only found some shaggy or camera qualities on youtube with bad sound. Thanks for any help!

*UPDATE* I found a descent quality here http://www.fantasyanime.com/finalfantasy/ff7ps3techdemo.htm (http://www.fantasyanime.com/finalfantasy/ff7ps3techdemo.htm)

Video is 640x480, please notify me if you find any higher quality.

Those 1280x960 versions look upscaled. That quality is nothing that couldn't be achieved with a few clicks in any video editor.

This one looks better (for me):

   Tech Demo 1280x720 Original FPS.mp4 (http://www.mediafire.com/?q749t62sldu4wcj)

Geez! Thanks that was quick! I'll try some things and be back ;) By the way I used xpert2 but can't watch mpf files or convert them. Browsed for half a day still trying to find something usefull. Install decoders and stuff. If anyone knows smt will save me much time... I'm soooo in a hurry need to leave!

After browsing all night i was about to set up a new Topic for pmf and oma file. I bumped into millions of info about this subject to end up with some facts about copyright infringement. So I have got all tools needed to directly convert a pmf file to any format but only if the file is mine!!! All crisis core videos cannot be converted directly not even with burning a disk with sonicstage! It does not allow you to do it! That's all! If anyone comes up with a hack please let me know.

P.S.: It was so frustrating coming up with an .oma audio file and not be able to convert it directly. Oh and I can convert pmf to avi or mpg by using mp4toavi program but with no sound ;) tricky wicked Sony...

You are correct, they are just upscaled versions of the existing video (all of which are from a CAM source, this can be detected by artifacts on the video at certain points),
The reason i know this is because i am the one who did it, i posted those video's ages ago at
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=8414.msg108829#msg108829
I edited them using RadTools to extract the video to picture format then using Photoshop and processing each frame automatically with filters to upscale and then manually editing over 500 frames to try and increase quality slightly (i botched a few frames though so that's how i know its mine)

i can suggest splitting the audo from the video using sony vegas that has always worked for me in the past.

I'm currently using Adobe premier cs 5.5 and does not accept .oma files. Audio is not present in the original .pmf. Does sony vegas accept it? I wonder if maybe cause it's "sony".

Haha! No audio since it was ripped from .mpf. I have to state that is not completely impossible to rip the audio. "at3decoder only works on 1.5 kernel" so you just need an old psp with old firmware http://forums.qj.net/psp-themes-mods-media/136222-guide-playing-back-pmfs-pc-audio-video.html (http://forums.qj.net/psp-themes-mods-media/136222-guide-playing-back-pmfs-pc-audio-video.html). But still I'm not sure about sony's crisis core files

Indeed very nice video quality!

*I can't import it in adobe premier... program crashes when I import it :( :(. Same thing has happened with other videos too :( I want to use the sound of this video which is really nice.

*Ok I used Xilisoft encoder and it worked

*God sound is giving me such a hard time!!! the only archive where is not crippled is the last one but needs some filters... such an easy work becomes a torture when source files are not original...grrr

Okay if he hates them all I doubt he has the motive to rate them best to worse.  That's like asking which is better; turd number 1 or turd number 2?  Doesn't really matter they both STINK!  But seriously 360p IS the resolution chum.  Get it together.

Square Enix has the best version, but they haven't released any HD video of it. You can google 'FF7 Technical Demo PS3 HD' and you will see what the 'best' version looks like.

Not to discourage you but I have used some pretty powerful googlefu myself as well and I am fairly certain its just not out there on the general internet anymore.  Maybe on some random persons hard driver somewhere but thats about it.  I used to have it.  If I would have known it would vanish like this I probably woulda kept it lol.  Good luck though hope you prove me wrong.

Nice... I have the ign version too. First one looks really good but again sound needs to be edited a bit and it's 704x396. To combine it with he CC ending image in video needs to be edited to match the colors and the re-encoding will have a worst exported file than the original of course...

This is one of the most frustrating searches ever. I would have normally by now just given up and said welp, there's no file out there, but I can't. I keep finding remnants of files that have since been removed. So these files have to there somewhere. The broken files are around 150 mb which would tell me they are high def.

I haven't found any HD yet, but how do you feel about real true 60fps? This isn't an upconvert, this is a native 60fps render:

This is just purely off of memory and I have proven just how bad that is already lol.  But I think the one I had years back was only 720p, dunno if there ever was a 1080p.  Remember HD was still pretty new at the time so its possible.  Also 60 fps sounds nice gonna download and check it out.

*edit*
animations are smooth as silk but the resolution still leaves a lot to be desire.  Audio sounds decent but not sure compared to the other ones.

Covarr is really skillful to find Kikizo version..
SE have all things but that's impossible. we talk about any one having existed online. I can only find 360 or 480(top & buttom black, still 360). so question is: did "beyond-360-video" ever exist online available for download?? require member sign-in or charge or not?? cause if it existed, it cannot just be gone like UFO...   :-\    man, i desire it than anyone..
