i just discovered great gaming software(free) called "unity" why hasnt anyone ever attempted to remake ff7 using this game engine it looks amazing...just a suggestion to all you modders out therelink >>>>  http://unity3d.com/

Unity3D is not open source.  However, Ardor3D is open source, and they are both Java.
Unity3D is not Java. It uses Javascript for its scripting, but the two languages are completely unrelated.
