Title: ff7 pc is the same as ff7 ps1?

Heya was looking at a wiki for ff7 kinda like reliving old memories, and I saw a link to here, now I see alot of ff7 pc, does that mean you use the ps1 cd in the pc? or is there a game I dont know about? I have a copy of "greatest hits final fantasy VII" can I get someone to help me in a whisper or here to catch me up?

No, it was a separate version, specifically made for the PC. It won't run in the PS1 at all.

But there are a few mods here that work with the PSX version. I don't know which ones, I think they're mostly rebalancing mods, not graphics mods.

He means PS1, not a fan of calling it PSX considering the actual PSX (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PSX_%28DVR%29).

At the time before PS2 the media called it PSX ,because it was called Play Station X at the stage when it was a SNES CD add-on sporting a 2x CDROM a DSP and RAM.

ether way, with me having the actual game is there any reason for me to be on the forums? I dont want to just hang around to take up space.

this site is about the game for the fans of ff7 and for us all to share are input of how things can be improved there is mods for graphics and gameplay etc for the ps1 version of ff7 not as many as the pc but there a few just to make your ff exp that bit better enjoy

Stick around - you might be interested in some of the mods.

i havent worked on the ps1 version myself but i could give you a few pointers for the pc version if you ever get it
