I'm new hear and I have been reading a lot on here but cannot find a solution to my problem. In certain areas like just bast the entrance to fort Condor after you climb the first rope up the first bit slows the game to a halt and moves very very very slowly. Is there a way to fix this or has anyone encountered this problem. Once I climb the second rop (IF I make it there) then the game resumes perfectly.
Please help me, thanks.

Sometimes enabling PBO in FF7_Opengl.cfg will fix the lag.
# use pixel buffer objects to speed up texture loading
# will probably crash horribly on ATI cards but should work for NVIDIA users
use_pbo = yes

K So just copy and paste that into the opengl file cause there is nothing in my opengl.
Thanks for the help by the way

Are you using Aali's OpenGL Driver?
Install and configure the driver. It vastly improves the game.
ff7_opengl-0.7.11b.zip Aali OpenGL Driver from the god Qhimm (http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=11992.0) FILE (http://www.mediafire.com/?a584mxlxw71hpct) MIRROR (http://www.mediafire.com/?ypilqzkhdsiqhut)

I used the installer and there are lots of hang ups, and I have been trying everything to fix it but in my opengl file there is no option for that

I installed everything and it fixed the area problems just a few new ones to do with battles being really slow now.
What I did was uninstalled everything and started from scratch and after using the all in one installer I update Ali's driver and reinstalled FRP and did the Avalanche graphical overhaul. Battles in general are all having huge slow down and hang ups and barely run. Is there any suggestions.
